If this turns out to be okay in person it could be a nice buy for way under €5k. 14 months NCT, bit of tax, long-ish term owner and the ad does have a genuine air to it. All for €3600

Relatively low mile (90k miles) 2008 GS300, still on old CC tax (€1,494 pa), sport version so higher spec than the regular "Executive" model (Mark Levinson audio <3 )

    All for €3,750 asking!

Noice, I know they're on the same platform as a Ford Mondeo, but the ride quality is just that much better and the interior has just that little bit more leather. With a 3.2 engine it'd sound good too, although I'd have a V8 one :D
The interesting bit is that I've never seen this car in Newbridge!

    Here's a nice V8 7 Series, for under 2 grand.

    Good value Hybrid above!

@Polan buyer beware with the seller of the 7 series, also the GS is cracking value but still for sale it just proves nobody wants these cars which is a pity..

    With a tax until May:eek:

A real bargain, as long as the car is in good nick.

I doubt someone would pay this kind of money to tax it just to shift it quickly.

I would give it a proper check and an extended test drive anyway.

I love those cars at that price :D

Volvo is a stunning deal. Sadly doing 100 miles daily for the work commute meaning I couldn't possibly justify sub 30mpg motoring :(

LPG? As long as this engine likes the conversion.

Much better for a conversion than the 2.5T, that's for sure!
Yeah, add a €1,500 LPG conversion and you get yourself a lovely, taxed, cheap to run V6 powered car for €4k

Are they V6, I thought they were a straight 6?

Cheers, figured that's why it was cheap, perhaps a battery issue.

I think the older model had 3 or 2.9 litre straight 6 and the newer ones with the 3.2 are a V6.

There is only V8, six cylinders are all R6.

A good one isn't worth much more plus it could be the Hybrid pump which is located in the gearbox..

Soldski, you really do need to make moves on these cars quick, I was going to look at it on Saturday if it was still there, planned to keep it a year and then possibly get rid or keep if I still liked it.

    The 3.2 s80 awd is a straight 6.

Yes, sorry. You and grogi are right, they're all inline engines except for the V8, I just presumed it was based on the Ford Duratec V6 since they owned Volvo at the time.

Nice former mayor's car here (or at least it claims to be). Looking at the XX-D-1 regs for the last few years and it looks like Dublin Mayors don't get to enjoy the pleasure of an I6 engine in their S80s as they're all 2.0 diesels.

I remember admiring this car as a child on the forecourt (I guess it was Tom Hogan's) before it was collected brand new. 15 years later... still admiring

Which usually makes me ask what other bills were they avoiding like servicing etc.

    I'd look elsewhere.

Or maybe they spent €1500 a year on maintenance rather than handing it over in tax... just another way of looking at it...

so would I  - lied about mileage too.
Plus, and this is a bit petty, taking screenshots instead of uploading photos....

The irony there of course is that you still have to upload the screenshot :D

    Good spot!
Some people might plead ignorance and say the thought they were entering the miles but 295km is still more than 175miles.

Add on 7 months driving and it's going to be over 300km.

Two W221 Diesels. Both slightly over budget, but could be haggled down to €5,000

€5,650, NCT 07/18. The bumper colours seem to be slightly off, but it could just be the light. Probably a small time dealer.

Long wheel base version. €5,950 NCT 04/18

Looks like Bobby decided to stop on the M4 to take photos, also another one outside a dealers premises.

Two Coupes, the silver is an 06, so most of the issues were sorted by then, claimed one owner car, no transfer of ownership in the past 3 months, easy to check either way. Seller has two other cars for sale.

    €4,900. Short NCT to 01/18

I didn't like these when they came out, but they've grown on me a bit. Still looks bloated. Beautifully built, though this one is a bit shabby it is cheap. Taxed till April 2018, so that's €1,000 off the price in theory. It's interesting alright as a rolling resto.

    €2,950. NCT 02/18
