Because its highly likely passengers were moved to LHR flights or other LGW flights.......

In most cases overnight night delays are operated by the same aircraft the following day. So largely hotel and a few meal vouchers in terms of cost.

I thought EU261 would make cancellations expensive?

I have heard from cabin crew that scheduling is often poorly thought out.

AL engineering and maintence deserve a big thanks for way they are able to maintain the fleet, particularly in the past week or so

Notice a lot of holding patterns tonight over Boston - appears to be particularly busy. Al (ELA) had a flight to Boston today and it too was caught in the holding pattern, but it's nearly down now.

Anybody know where EAV is heading for?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,820 ✭✭✭✭LXFlyer

With a flight number of EI-1129 that would suggest Toronto (1 in front of the regular Toronto flight number).

Random question, but when the aircraft with special liverys (DVM,DEO,DEI) go in for a repaint, will they be painted back into their special colours or just painted into the mainline livery?

Extraordinary circumstances likely drives down payout rates, in most cases as well the flight won't be cancelled but delayed.

The IRFU is a 5 year deal (?) if not renewed they will go back to normal color. I would imagine they will keep the retro jet as it is.

Regarding EI-FNG on the 16th of July to Berlin TXL, I can confirm that due to a delay they won't make the jet ban and had to return to stand. I happened to be listening in at the time.

Do all Dublin EI flights pre clear now, specifically the two Boston flights?
    Thanks

Thought so thanks. Got stung in Boston for an hour on the later flight a few years back.

IAD goes back to 330 (x6) on 25 March so that leaves the B752 free for a route or two.

Why has the LA flight been delayed every day this week? Always by 5-6 hours? I thought it would have caught up with itself by now.

went out on time today (or within an hour) - they have moved our flights back already so I'm hoping no more delays

Interesting. Will they likely wait until September/October to announce a new route as usual or do it sooner?

Also I seem to recall talk of another 2 A330s next year, nothing firm announced though?

One more for delivery this year, hadn't heard anything but rumours for future plans bar the A321LRs from 2019

What is that A330 doing at present?

Has it been officially confirmed the lease on EI-EWR is being renewed?

Friend sent me this saying he saw an EI A350. Can't really see it too well but it could be the new A330 too? Or maybe the A350?

Can't see how the likely schedule, even if just what's announced/onsale + PIT can be done without it

I'd love it to be true, but surely this would be known if it was

    (Although it looks 350ish)

Very early to be ready if delivery isn't til 2018 too, as you say in the days of internet fans etc, doubt this would be the first we'd see if it!

The only A350 with a Shamrock on the tail is the on in their lounge at DUB.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,009 ✭✭✭✭L1011

That is definitely going to be 333 ln1817, not a 350. Was in the background in pictures of the final assembly line a week or so ago.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 696 ✭✭✭TheFitz13

Got really excited when I saw it lol, ah well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,327 ✭✭✭kevinandrew

Can see why it may have looked like an A350, that white engine looks massive against the unpainted yellow/green body of the aircraft but obviously its just another A333, which isn't a bad thing! Always nice to see a new delivery!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 958 ✭✭✭Bussywussy

That'll be EI-GCF A330 Coming early December.. possibly bit earlier..the plans are changing as to when it's going into service though.

    LAX is back.

According to Plane Spotters, there is 1 A350 on order but I cannot find it in the delivery schedules.

    https://www.planespotters.net/airline/Aer-Lingus

But we are due I think to get another A330 later this year.

Planespotters is regularly is correct on details.
A350 MSN197 was once marked down as the 1st EI frame. This notation has been removed from the official Airbus production lidt months ago.
