If you are going to answer the question seriously, thanks. If you are going to troll, I'll delete the thread and report the trolling posts.

God, he says the same thing everyday..

The bar was in the Mullaghmore area.

    Which one? You're laughable mate..

I wasn't paying too much attention, but on the way out I saw a sign that said:

    Pints - €7.

€7 - for a pont of Guinness, seriously!

I thought a fiver was bad enough.

Deco Nate is the only troll here. Is it normal for some barman to charge that for a pint of Guinness?

Yes perfectly normal. Remember Noonan's €5 troll tax in the last budget.

No wonder the pint was suite, he never let it settle.

I call shenanigans on the OP

where i am assigned at the moment with work (Middle East), if i want a pint of larger or guinness outside of the private members club where i usually booze, you'd be looking at the equivalent of 10-15 euro easy......hence i don't booze there.....if you want to buy a tray of 24 440ml cans of guinness instead and booze at home, you're looking at about 120 euro roughly i think......but 10 euro within ireland i find very hard to believe....maybe its true but who'd drink there ever with those prices (apart from the OP obviously!)???

I once asked for a pint of blackcurrant cordial, as I was driving, and the bar man charged me €20,000, and took the shirt of my back.

    Robbery so it is.

Did the sign say cordials €10,000? I think I know the barman you're talking about

    Don't have a cow man!

    Did you ever find yours?

The barman poured me a crap pint and gave it to me. I took my first sip ... I gulped down the pint and threw the tenner at the chap

Yeah right, don't think this lad has ever seen a pint of Guinness.

I remember back in maybe 98/99, I would be paying £1.90 for lager and £2.10 for Guinness, good times.

As for €10, is that the normal price in Mullaghmore cause there's not that many pubs there.

Or am I getting to over invested in this as chances are it'll be locked within the hour.

Did the pub have big windows?

Jaysus, I only asked a simple question!

The barman will tell you where your lost cow is for that €10.

It's sad reading. A pitiful way to spend an evening. Better out in the pub with a real pint.

How did the op get to mullaghmore?

Was it in his bmw (doesn't care whether itsxa one series or five series) or was it in his ford mustang which he was importing from Germany?

You say that but will you? Of course not. Report your sock puppet other persona while you're at it.

He was there after the cow went missing and it has better TV reception. The reduced level of break ins in the area attracted him. Though he's thinking of moving to Lisbon or Zürich.

Why would someone make up a story as pedestrian as this and start a thread on it? I don't understand what they get out of it.

Ha. People going to crowded pubs full of tv noise and ridiculously overpriced alcohol. So last century.

That 10c is a pain though. In my local lager has gone from 5 to 5.10. Used to get an exact 15-20 on rounds and no change. Now I am weighed down at the end of the night.

€4 in the college bar in NUIG where I once frequented. Usually pay 4.40 in my local.
