On your goals expectation - Ibrahimovic scored 17 in the league and 10 in other comps, so not massively off your target for Lukaku.

I'm not saying Lukaku was a poor signing - I think he is a good one and absolutely required - but in terms of goals output I'd not be surprised if he didn't beat Ibrahimovic by much. As I said about that, his style of forward play might release our other attacking players a bit more. Maybe we were too focused on playing too or off Zlatan last season and Lukaku will score more and aid others scoring more. Fingers crossed.

The basic point though is that I don't think Lukaku over Zlatan is the improvement required to turn us from last seasons crap to title contenders this season. We needed him, absolutely, but I think we need a couple of others to have any real chance - as well as the players we already have stepping up and improving consistently.

Well they both are.

Who ever claimed Guardiola isn't? I don't understand people who paint them at opposite ends of the spectrum, they are the same type of manager, only differing in their belief of how you win a football match.

In nearly every other aspect they are similar. Both require specific types of player to implement their idea and gameplan, unable to adapt and extract the best from the tools they have.

And if anything Guardiola is pretty wasteful in the transfer market, his record has been more miss than hit.

Big clubs spend big money on big players that will improve them.

We need a top class DM. Not a young, promising combative central midfielder.

If we sign Deir or Matic and then add Sanches to the squad then great. But as a answer to the massive hole in the team? No chance is that good enough.

Considering the players we are strongly linked with, can't say I'm getting too stressed over it.

Griezemann in reality was an early blow, Lukaku has been a massive win.

That other clubs arn't making big signings either probably means there isn't much going on in terms of shifting around. It's like everyone is waiting for the other to pull the trigger.

I'd say if Mbappe goes to Madrid, it won't signal an exit for Bale or Ronaldo, I'd say he will be gently integrated into the team playing under study to Benzema.

£161 million is crazy, makes me feel way better about the Lukaku price

reports i saw about neymar is simply PSG have found some FFP loophole to be able to sign him and that united cant do it without breaking FFP rules. their loophole is probably signing him and not caring as they dont seem to care about FFP as they have indicated such in the past
