For two of the biggest clubs in the world that penalty shootout was really bad by the people taking the penalties.

Has Lindelof been at fault for a goal in every game?

Could challenge them for the champions of August this year.

De Gea seemed like the only player who had any interest in winning that.

Some horrific peno's going on there. Say what you will about Rooney but the lad knew how to bury a penalty

This is not Rooney saga again, just pointing out the guy was a penalty taker

That was a horror show still a win is a win, Barca match on Wednesday should be better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,058 ✭✭✭✭adox

I thought he was at fault for at least one of the galaxy goals.

A potential José masterclass in match fitness acquisition.

No not on the la galaxy game

He hardly covered himself in glory for Do Santos' first.

I won't pretend I ever saw Lindelof play before, so all I've seen of him are these very below par preseason games.

I'm assured he's not usually this bad so I guess that's something.

In all honesty, I think you've got to look at the circumstances and see pretty easily how it would be hard for the players to motivate themselves for a meaningless penalty shootout in that heat.

But yeah, a serious lack of quality on both sides.

How did Bailly do last pre season, from what I remember he did well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,058 ✭✭✭✭adox

That Martial peno(I know it's meaningless but) sort of summed up the worry some have about him. All the talent in the world but the minute he addressed the ball he looked like he was going to miss with his casual attitude, lack of run up and heal hearted effort.

He did set a precedent though with some of the worst peons you will ever see at this level. A meaningless friendly and they are bottling it.

Lindelofs peno was at pathetic as his displays in a Utd shirt so far. :)

Didn't he only have something like a 50% success rate in his last few seasons? LVG took him off pens at one stage.

So only for the ones we've conceded in. :D

Motivate yourself to kick a ball? They were hardly asked to run a marathon.

It was laughable and inexcusable for most of the misses.
