No because the ref dealt with it on the field, so it cannot be reviewed.

Didn't know that was the case, interesting.

Another example of the GAA picking soccerstreams dumbest rules to ape.

Is it definitely the rule by the way? I went looking for it lately and couldn't find it.

He would want to practice more, could of broke his own neck.

He would probably want to just not do it full stop.

I think it is, if a card has already been given by the ref. It should at least remind Harrisson to hold his temper for the much dirtier teams that may be coming, because they try it it for the full game not just a few minutes.

All square in Navan at the break. Referee with two ludicrous decisions to level it for Meath. Goal disallowed for a non existent square ball, then Donegals's best player on the day, Caolan Ward taken out of it which was apparently a free in for Meath.

Aside from that, exciting, but poor quality game. Donegal fairly laboured in attack, and struggling to get through Meaths parked bus

Let's see what the report says.

Long ban in my eyes for that. Disgusting.

Then again, it's against Clare and like last year serious foul play can be just passed on when it's a "minnow".

The CCCC review all games on a Monday that have been played on Saturday or Sunday and take action if need be.

The Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) is entitled to ask referees to review video records of incidents and clarify whether they are satisfied with the actions taken. Should the referee change his mind in relation to the incident the CCCC may bring disciplinary action under Rule 147 (f).

Nope, left his neck unguarded, he would have had to tap to Sexton, terrible MMA technique. Lifting a player by the leg and driving him to the ground is a terrible act and should be discouraged

Its the go to move to break a headlock or even a triangle for half of them

A very dangerous and very stupid thing for Harrison to do with the game over.

Oh yeah i forgot, we are known for how lucky we are

This is the thing! If Mayo lose by a point or two against a Kerry or Dublin they are perennial failures but if they turn around games, pull out a victory and/or dominate the last 20 minutes after a slow start they are lucky!

    Agenda twisting all the time!

The truth is Clare and Derry are average teams but when push came to shove Mayo beat them with ease (albeit in extra time against the latter).

Mayo don't look like winning anything but calling them lucky and then callin them chokers. It's all a bit silly.

Looking at the analysis here, and it's funny. Cillian tossed the ball to the brother and talking about wonderful exchange of passing. Midfielder for Clare took out of it by Seamus on shea and had to go off, and the lads bemoaning the loss of the midfielder but no mention of the targeted hit on him.
Normal rules don't apply to the mayo lads it seems.

Micky Newman's in for Meath for the 2nd half, hope that helps.

Also, when will referees start penalising COC and the length of time his free taking takes. It's interminable.

He's right though. RTE are like a Mayo partner channel at this stage.

You must have missed the build up to the replay last year

That was blatant taking out Cathal O'Connor. Mayo were streetwise too. When the O'Connors, Boyle get hit they made sure to highlight to referee. Marty McMahon struck 4/5 times with closed fist was too honest trying to play on. Cillian O'Connor must take nearly a minute to take free/45, though referees would have coped onto this by now.

If it is a ban it will be for a number of matches, not for a specified length of time. The time bans are for offences involving players interfering with officials.

But I'm sure this won't stop some people deliberately spreading confusion about the issue, in furtherance of their campaign to get the 12 weeks minimum bans for interfering with officials reduced.

Clare really should be 6/7 points up, would love to see them win this, but can only see Mayo grind out a undeserved victory.

    Undeserved now?

I wouldn't say they didn't deserve the victory. However do they deserve to be getting as far as they do get? No they don't. People think Mayo are still contenders for an all Ireland but they aren't near as good as what they used to be and I can't see them making a come-back any time soon.

That free on AOS was ridiculous. So easy to go down.

Have you ever seen Dean Rock play?!?

They go through the front door its too easy for them, they don't deserve it.
They go though the back door its too easy for them, they don't deserve it.

Km79 you won't win with some, the amount of Mayo moaners always increase at this time of year. Take it as a compliment, when they stop criticizing we know we are out of it.

They are the champions it to be expected, but i'd says its mainly because most of the criticism of other teams is coming from a select few Dub posters with some very irrational biased posts. One of the posts replied to on this page been a prime example.
