Brennan and O'Connor have gone completely out of the game for Clare.

Why don't more teams push up on short kick outs from the off? Joe Hayes has no comfort since half time.

Because that can leave gaps behind for long accurate kicks, but we don't have outlets for that option.

O'Connor went off injured at HT ;)

Unless Clare are waiting for the half time EPO to kick in then this game is done. You could see the legs go at about 30 mins. Mayo will look like superstars from here in.

It seems Mayo have been running on their superior fitness and endurance over Derry and Clare. They just have more left in the tank.

They looked knackered. Theres no way they would sustain continued high intensity play from a more clinical team.

Besides O Connor I'd struggle to name a Mayo player that has been noticable over the 53 mins.

AOS is the only one that has improved this year, i'd say the rest of the team has gone backwards.
They are going o need goals in future games to help them through, which is not a strong point.

Clare are like a division four team this half.

Again another goal chance wasted... people can talk about fitness but their decision making and execution don't relate to that.

Why have they not replayed that penalty incident? Kieran Shannon saying it was blatant.

Clare are being dominated in the half backs and midfield so look terrible.

Pretty much. From here in though they won't have that advantage. Pretty much anyone they'll meet will be 90% as fit as them at least. Might get one more soft game if they're really lucky.

Joe Hayes's kicks have given about 6 points to Mayo in this half.

    Another thing.

Whats this crap Keegan is up to. He is dragging and blocking the run of one of the Clare players off the ball.

I'm surprised neither of the commentators said nothing.

    Quite blatant.

O'Shea dragging Mayo through on his own the past two games, he has massive strength.

You do realise that one of the first things to go when tired is the mind. Concentration is next to impossible when knackered

It did look like a push in the back. However, the ref has not given frees for that throughout the whole game. For example in the lead up to the Vaughan black card, McLoughlin was pushed out over the line. Looked pretty blatant to me but the ref didn't give it

Isn't that 50% of his game. That's why he's so effective. That and his fitness.

Twas more of a pull down from the terrace. Definitely a foul for me. Perplexed as to how the ref missed it. Was in a great position.

Its quite cynical to mark a player to the extent that he cant move off the ball because you are blocking him and dragging him back. It was right in front of the ref and he did nothing. Not a ball in sight.

Yes threeball but its wrong when a Mayo player does it. You'd never see a Dub player (Mcmahon) do anything like that. Otherwise im sure those posters above you would be equally appalled.

That free on AOS was ridiculous. So easy to go down.

Also, when will referees start penalising COC and the length of time his free taking takes. It's interminable.

O'Shea is having a great season, glad for him given the stupid stuff earlier on.

They Dubs dont do it. They dont need to and it doesnt fit with their high intensity game.

Keegan has been mid park tagging one of the Clare lads with no interest in the game.

Mayo No 2 should be off.

If that was rugby and a player was driven to the ground there'd be a ban, now he's down holding his head

Neutral here - what you're posting is ridiculous, that lad comes in for some seriously disproportionate heavy treatment from opposition players and gets very little. Yet here you are whining about going down easy. Take off whatever blinkers you've got on and watch the game will you.

Will you relax being all butthurt for poor put upon Mayo.
I didn't defend any other team or players who do it. I just pointed out that its large part of Keegan's game. You need to take less offence to every comment on mayo or their players.

That should be a red for that body slam.

I don't understand why opposition goalkeepers take kickouts down on top of him. Why don't they 'split' the midfielders and go to the opposite side to O'Shea. Dublin used that tactic a few years ago and basically took him out of the game

That should be a red card for the Mayo lad, I'd say he's a sore neck though the way Sexton was holding on to him
