What kind of stuff you looking to offload? Any grails?

Consoles and games, most of the grails I'll likely keep. Have to go through everything and see what's there really

Sounds great, keep it in the community,
I will let you purchase it back.

Yup, I've always had a 'policy' of not just spending/wasting any cash raised from retro sales...it always goes towards something else I'd like but otherwise wouldn't have. Truth is though, without putting cash back into the collection, I'm genuinely unsure of what to buy. I'm considering a rift and steering while driving sim setup...

If you do decide to invest in a sim setup down the line drop me a PM - I might be letting mine go. Will be getting rid of the Atomiswave, BVM and a few other bits too. :)

I'm actually playing more games than ever now, and as mentioned previously, have been bitten hard by the emulation bug. Launchbox and Retroarch make a seriously attractive package which looks and plays fantastic on modern TVs. It'll never replace a physical collection, but in practical terms it's just SO much more convenient than having consoles, wires, and games squashed into space I don't have. As it stands, my collection has been sitting mothballed for years and that isn't gonna change any time soon. I'll keep my fav bits, but after seeing N64 games have their internal resolution multiplied x4 for example, I'd have a seriously tough time going back to play them on original hardware.

No growing up here, just growing old!
I can't seem to find much time to game these days, though BotW got a good few hours over the past week.

I am well past my selling stuff on phase, I find comfort in looking at my goodies on the shelves and have regretted every single retro sale I've made.
I wish I still has Ibara, Kuon and Rule of Rose in my collection :(

New purchases have slowed way down though, and it seems for most of us as my collection at least has reached near completion.
The arcade cab might be surplus to requirements though, as I seldom play it, but I know if I sold it I would immediately wish I still had it!

I see traffic on this forum has slowed somewhat, with regulars being a lot less regular, with more alternate browsing options for the hobby out there. Not sure how to remedy this, one would have imagined that the renewed interest by the great unwashed in retrogaming would have meant more people checking in here, but it seems not.
Perhaps I'm over estimating the importance of Boards.ie to the world!

^^ a well run forum for emulation would be popular I feel, there's so many people out there who could use and contribute to it

*no discussion on where to get roms goes without saying, but there's huge scope for legit discussion otherwise

Honestly I just watch everything I can. It's usually the ones you don't expect to be good that are mind blowing. I remember a blaster master 4 player run blowing my mind and the first year Tetris and stepmania were on.

Saying that I'll be watching all of Tetris even if it's not over until ridiculous o'clock.

It's a shame to see alright!

Unfortunately I just don't have as much time to contribute anymore due to work commitments. Damn Real Life getting in the way! Still read the place daily though.

I'm the same. Subscribe to loads of boards Retro and gaming threads and end up reading it in gmail. Must try post more and ye entertain me more than any other site.

But a fellow boardie Mozie popped down to Cork to us this weekend and we had great Chin wag for hours about retro gaming and we both at Noami Sit down can at the mo...

I've loads to do but it's getting there... 15k monitor and I've full Black Net City CP legs kit too.. ArcadeVga Mame and Jamma going into it. I'll have Full Gaming that be up in running in End of Aug too. With about 12 cabs if they all fit :)

I found that myself too, not sure what you could do either. Just haven't anything to comment on really and if I haven't had my birthday last month I'd gave no gets to post about (although I have something on the way, nothing major).
Weather has been kinda good so I thought it might be that.
I do always check the threads even if I don't post.

I think boards as a whole has slowed down. I've been reading threads here probably for the best part of 6 years and only bothered my bollocks posting recently, but I do see a general decline site wide. I'd say the close account feature really took its toll on the place

I've had my Reddit epiphany, used to hate it/not understand it, but now I feel because of the upvote feature the quality to scutter ratio is way better than on boards. I read it as much as I do Boards these days, but Boards still has a great personal feel to it that Reddit doesn't.

Been a good few regulars drop off the radar here alright. I don't even post a whole lot.

Planning a wedding, running Lazer Steak, teaching a bit in the gym along with the regular house and work **** I'm pretty busy this year. If I didnt use my phone I'd never post up.

Still havnt even gotten a chance to play Dark Souls 3 yet for gods sake....what have I become!

I have a few old consoles and a Raspberry Pi setup with RetroPie. However I have such a backlog of modern games I rarely have the time to play retro games. I do love reading about them and watching YouTube videos from the likes of DF Retro and No Clip.

If the child me had all the games and consoles I have he would have a seizure with excitement. Adulting is a pain! :-)

Still pre-ordered a SNES Mini so f**k it.

Maybe some sort of Facebook group with links to this forum might drum up interest... The lads in the Amiga users Ireland group have a great Facebook with lots of information, something which the folks here could easily update while using this forum as a base to flesh out greater discussion on topics

    Bring back drunken Atavan!

I'm willing to take one for the team and get gee-eyed if it'll help.

Myself, I honestly haven't played anything in ages. All of my stuff is back home and I don't want to start re-buying the same games and consoles I already have. I wouldn't say I've lost interest in gaming, not in the least, but I've definitely taken a break from gaming/buying in the last year and it's been good. Sometimes life just gets in the way and you tend to focus on other activities. Im kind of the same as touch fuzzy in that I don't have much to share with you guys these days but that's not to say I don't check in and read the threads every few days

Spent the day getting everything outta storage, & sifting through to to see what I'll keep/sell. Fair few bits & pieces here to go, including a PAL English Terranigma, a CIB Chrono Trigger, & other half interesting bits. Fair bit of common stuff too.

    I'd suck for chrono trigger.

Picked up Chrono Trigger on the DS for €25 just last weekend. Surprised to see it so cheap to be honest. Never played more than five or six hours of it so it's next in the pile.

Watched Spectre...well, that was a load of old cack. Amazing that the British critics were so blinded to this one when it first released.

That reminds me, I need to watch John Wick 2, loved the first one.

It's pretty great, it does feel like a launchpad though for the TV series about The Continental, the hotel in the movies.
