Well they look it anyway Patsy. To be fair they look physically big and strong on TV but in the flesh that Galway team are massive and their physical conditioning is mightily impressive.
At least it wasn't Kilkenny dishing out the drubbing for a change.

Carlow is the first county to be BVD PI free. Well done to the scallion eaters, a great achievement.

Don't know the disease spread methodology but if compulsory removal would solve it we should do it and stop messing around.
We did it with brucellosis. Moving from a voluntary to a compulsory scheme.
Never had a positive PI. But if I had I would have the knackery shoot it. and move on.

What prices did you want? I have a scanner here, could scan a page for you and post it up, if you are really stuck.

I'm not normally a big fan of the Irish Times but I came across this article in it earlier and said I would post it here as so many of our rural areas are facing the same problems but Kildorrery is showing a possible solution.

    Damn impressive, tbh.

Near where I live there's an area of a town more less derelict. The few locals left decided to paint a few closed shop front with mureals and the likes, board up window and paint them. Just to take the bad look off the place if nothing else. Done a fine job. Couple of weeks later the 'local' politican who is never seen, invited local rag to see the good work he was involved in with the community. Nobody has seen him since. Horrible bastard.

You drive through some of the towns in the Midlands and you'd think you were still in the eighties. It's very sad to see but if young people aren't there then it's very hard paint a pretty picture. Imo there's alot of older farmers who get help from children an odd weekend. When these people die out and their kids have no reason to visit 'home' rural communities could disintegrate further. Plenty of stories of gaa merging because they can't field a team.

I met Justin Mc Carty and Darren Carty at the NSA event in Ballymena, they were telling me they have a Scottish Farmers Journal now,
They're having an open day on the farm in Tullamore on the 25th july, it should be worth going to

Learn your Excel spreadsheet. Then, unless you use it on a regular basis, you'll promptly forget it.

Already did ECDL in my leaving cert, then did a year of computers in Cavan Inst, then had 2 years of Quark & computers in Journalism. So am helping the others and farting round the place, must admit it's a really nice building!

Was at the mart today, a farmer had a good few ch bullocks for sale, about 600 kg, being sold in singles, crazy cattle, trying to jump the ring and going for the drovers. Who buys these cattle? Same seller had a 28 mth old fr bullock 752kg, sold for 1160 thought it was a massive weight for a fr at that age

I've sold a few wild lads that I would have gladly taken half the price for just to be rid of them but the made as good a price as was going .
I reckon the lads buying them arent that bothered cos they will be just fed and factoried with little handling anyhow . One lad told me they weren't wild at all and I was just used to pets of quiet dairy cows :D

Obviously bucking the typical "student" trend so, would have thought you'd be frequenting Master Deerys and The Squealing Pig! :D
