I think the very fact that Michael Fennelly is starting tells you they have plenty to be worried about

Yeah they really have to, as they have absolutely nothing on the bench these days

Limerick will give Kilkenny a game I think, whether they can win will depend on the conviction of their own beliefs.

Westmeath giving Tipp their fill of it

    1.9-0.9

Westmeath really putting it up to Tipp in Thurles. Could get very sticky for tipp.

I assume Tip took the foot off the pedal after they went a bit ahead. At least, I hope that's what it is.

Depressing year for Offaly. By all accounts they often played with two sweepers this year, only conceded the two goals in three games but still shipped 88 points.

Two sweepers? Jesus that's a recipe for depression itself. Glad I didn't have to see them play.

shocking performance, need to up it big time next week, some very shocking easy wides

Well done Westmeath, although they didn't win they gave it there all. Tipp will be a completely different team next weekend

Happy enough with Waterford but Offaly were terrible and will be in the doldrums for a long long time. Next weekend we will see how good we are

    Hope Laois and Limerick win

KK v Limerick poor enough fare so far. Very disjointed from both teams.

Limerick don't want to put it between the posts.

    Then Walsh does that....sensational point!

Really poor game here. Forwards well outnumbered on both sides and a lot of aimless stuff and really poor wides.

Limerick are buyont but don't have enough conviction to win it

Can't see any team fearing any other next week anyway.

Limerick will feel they've let this one slip away somewhat I think.

This is like watching the Christy Ring cup final or something. Some woeful stuff.

    Limerick threw that away

Kilkenny always in control for me. Limerick forwards are one of the worst sets of forwards they had in years. Must have been soul destroying to see every ball a limerick defender cleared coming straight back.

The Limerick forwards problems are all down to two players, Cian Lynch does fcuk all, plenty of skill and lovely flicks and tricks but absolutely no end product, and Dowling is clearly only there for the frees, which you can't afford to carry at this level, the two corner forwards are very classy players and will have big futures.

Limerick always flatter to deceive, that game was there to be won tonight, chance wasn't taken. Been the same many other times bar the odd good year. They have always came up short. Some lovely players but there is no end product.

I thought the limerick defence were outstanding tonight especially hannon; though some of the ball in to the forwards was had to fathom; all the forwards were bunched up and kilkenny ate that up, time and time again they came out with the ball. Why didnt they keep it open and spread the play?, if they had done that then it might have brought cian lynch more into the game.Movin do dowlin to the half forward line brought him more into the game but lynch did not have a great night.

I agree to a certain extent but I definitely think that Kiely is the right man, and he will get the best out of them.

Definitely; they really brought a great intensity to the game tonight which seemed to be missing against clare. it wasnt kiely hittin all those wides; but i think limerick really need to get into division 1. I think hannon is definitely nailed on for centre back and there is good players coming through from u21.

Heard that before. They really should have pushed on from 2014. Kiely is spot on but how long does he get. They are the weakest team in Munster bar kerry. They haven't a hope of getting out of 1b next year, with Galway there. I wouldn't be to optimistic about there future. Where the hell has that U21 gone from 2011?

So the round 2 draw taking place on Monday morning will have Tipperary, Kilkenny, Dublin and Waterford in it

The games are due to be played next Saturday 8th July. A double header (like previous years) may be out of the question with Tipperary and Kilkenny in the draw so its looking like 2 standalone games in seperate venues (prob 5pm & 7pm throw ins). A double header in Limerick,Tullamore or Port Laoise may out of the question as Capacity may be too low

If drawn sepretely i expect Kilkenny and Tipp too come through but A Dublin vs Waterford and Tipp vs Kilkenny draw will be hard too predict

Who would u predict from ur draw?

Dublin and Extra time win for Kilkenny

by the sounds of it Dublin are starting to gel together and will surly have a plan for whoever they come up against

if the new championship structure comes in for the next 3 years than we wont have qualifers like today and next week for that duration and there will be very limited Munster vs Leinster games ???

Dublin still have the potential to give any of them a rattle and last night was huge boost to morale in the wake of all the nonsense. This year has become very interesting!

I really don't share your optimism. I seen Dublin against Galway and they where beyond dire. Now they defeated Laois last night but Laois are v poor. To me it would be an ideal draw for any of the other three, of course Dublin would be physical but you'd still expect a comfortable win for the opposition.

Actually physicality was major deficit against Galway. It is vastly inexperienced young team, with a few exceptions like Rushie, but they have held themselves mostly well and will come on, I agree it is unlikely they would beat any of other three, but not impossible! League proved that there is very little between those remaining. Galway seem to be only team a bit ahead of rest at this stage, but today will tell a tale.
