Just started Vanquish on PC, wasn't sure what to expect and it is a bit like GoW so far (even the US Marines lol), just had one of the first battles where the boost was needed to come out on top. It was really cool seeing the bit where
it looks like a spaceship is going to land on you and the troops in act 1
    .
It looks v good considering it was originally a ps3/360 game.

Just finished up Wonderboy: The Dragons Trap. What a nice little remake. But at just over 5 hours to complete do not pay full price for this. Wait for it to drop in price.

Finished Vanquish last night. 6 hours it took lol, but it was fun.

    /\

If I bought that at full price and got 6 hours play out of it, I'd be mighty pissed off.

That's a disgracefully short length of time for any game.

It's a re-release of a last gen game, its first release on PC. 15 quid on steam, less on key resellers. So not that bad.
GoW 4 was worse for single player content, £50 for about 9 hours of single player. Got my moneys worth out of horde, but gave up on that because of so many quitters.

Sure, it's 19.99 now, but when it first came out, it was probably twice that.

£50 for about 9 hours on GoW4? - no thanks.

That's like an evening's game time.

Finished Dead Space 2, and feel the game picked up significantly in the 2nd half. The 1st half was by the numbers I felt, after the excellent first game, but the 2nd half had some fantastic set pieces, and the pacing got a lot better too. Really enjoyed it by the end I must say. Am I right in thinking the "Severed" DLC was console only?

Homefront:The Revolution - Nearly finished ( thank god). Not a very bad game but definitely a wasted opportunity to make something a lot better. 5/10

Dead Space. Just started. Now I remember why I quit this when it was released. Christ I hate games where things jump out at you....:eek::eek:

Ill try and stick it out this time. Time to man up..Controls are a bit wonky though.

As part of my backlog, I'm stuck into Sleeping Dogs. Really enjoying it, good balance between open world and always having something to do, and the main storyline has me gripped. Am I going to get caught out as an undercover cop? Will I end up siding with the Triads?

I couldn't get into that game. I just didn't like the hand to hand combat. But on the other side I really enjoyed it in Batman AA and City.

I was about to say that it's similar to the Batman games.

I find it grand. Kind of like Batman, if you're ever stuck, just keep standing idle and countering and you'll get through it. I find myself just hammering the attack button, though, and not really using the fancy moves :P

They totally faffed up the controls, more so the dead zones. I used Durazno to fix it, made a massive difference & only took a few seconds to do it.

Started playing the ARMA 3 Full release "ARGO" last night...not bad for a free game. Pretty much capture the flag / Deathmatch using arma 3 engine

I feel that way with all shooters since changing to the xbox one controller. My previous xbox 360 pad had pretty much no dead zone at all. Which was a problem in its own right.

    Warhammer: Total War

It's been a bit of a bumpy ride.
First I love it, then it pisses me off and then a penny drops and it's great again.

It's a game with a few rough edges to it's quality of life features and learning curve but at it's core it excellent.

Bought Shadow Of Mordor. Played for two hours. Seen all it has to offer.

    The Cat Lady
Finally got back to it. Loading my saves crashed the game but it turned out the latest version doesn't support old saves. Luckily my gog copy supports version rollback via the galaxy client so I used that and got my old saves functioning again. I wish steam had that, which also has the linux version of the game but officially that support dropped so it doesn't even work now anyway.

    Gwent
Played it for nearly 5 hours straight last night. Going for ranked mode rewards is addicting.

    Tekken 7
Eliza is really tough to understand for me. She's too 2D.

    Doom w/ Project Brutality
Still can't stop playing this. Just endless demon-killing fun. Nothing compares!

Its actually a really good game IMO hoping the sequel will improve on the Nemesis system as its was somewhat flawed in the first game and has loads of potential
