Because some of the posts on this as some sort of a contest/match/fight are so ridiculous, yet so inviting....

Because MMA is now more relevant than Boxing.

Gervonta Davis v Salido in the works to be co-main apparently.

I predict a clear win for Davis. Salido is crude, and now old and crude...

Of course he does. Another heap of money to play tag boxing!

Of course the money is a lure but I definitely think Pac wants to have a rematch to throw more digs at Floyd and who know Floyd might want another 100milllion pay day after he loses it all on the NFL this year.

Floyd is done challenging himself IMO. He'll take the Conor money and run.

Agreed. Floyd is a retired pro boxer. I'd be surprised that he fights after Conor. To get himself up and motivated and committed to fight actual real boxers at this late stage of his sporting life? No way. And not near a real guarantee that he beats the elite WWs competing today.....

True definitely not a guarantee at 40. But I could see him considering Pacman again, the money on offer again would be ridiculous.

Yes, definitely Pac, but just like Floyd, Pac won't be fighting anyone dangerous at his stage in his career.

Floyd is not dangerous, just difficult and clever and cute. Loadsa' money for a spar basically.

There are enough suckas out there to make McWeather profitable (a couple of mates included) so I'm sure there are enough people out there to make MayPac 2 profitable (Like me). There are more tangible what ifs?. Though Pac might ko Horn this weekend and I doubt anyone will care. It's sickening that people knew he didn't spar for a few days in between leading up to the fight. It was too big to cancel I reckon and the injury not serious enough. For the record, I didn't notice anything wrong with the shoulder but it could be sold.

Yeah MayPac 2 is the only fight I could see being made after. If he was fighting an actual boxer now I think his loss of speed would be very noticeable.

This could be perfect timing for Davis to be one of a very few set of fighters to get a stoppage against Salido. Stylistically it suits Davis. I love watching Salido fight, ballsy and a great heart but the amount of wars he's had is bound to catch up on him.

Yeah it's a great matchup for Davis I think. Far too accurate and slick for Salido nowadays. I'd fancy him to stop him. Salido would need to rough him up like he did Lomachenko to keep it competitive.

Davis is a very exciting fighter looking forward to seeing him again

Floyd can be hard to take around him , especially the Walsh fight but you can't knock the fact he has been very good at what he's done for him so far

This fight on the undercard will be great for him if he can get that stoppage

If anyone can test Davis it's Siri. He deserves the paycheck but I'm kinda hoping Top Rank get him for Lomachencko.

Jim Lampley mad a good comment in an interview the other day

Just forgot Conor isn't a pro boxer etc and has had no fights

Even if he was pro boxer his style of fighting is horrific for someone boxing Mayweather . A counter puncher who only throws in ones and twos . if Floyd could pick a style to fight that would be it

How do we know what his style of boxing will be? apart from poor it's difficult to say he'll try to counter punch Mayweather as there is literally no evidence to suggest what he might do in a boxing match.

That's why I think people are kind of overestimating how much this will sell. Do you wanna be that person who shelled out say 25e to see McG taken to boxing school? Especially after the MayPac dud. There'll be a lot of people looking to others to buy it or chip in...like me. Lot's of fight parties going on..
