Maybe someone has already done this and we are now living in a much darker dystopian timeline.

On August 2, 1939, just before the beginning of World War II, Albert Einstein wrote to then President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Einstein and several other scientists told Roosevelt of efforts in Nazi Germany to purify uranium-235, which could be used to build an atomic bomb. It was shortly thereafter that the United States Government began the serious undertaking known then only as "The Manhattan Project." Simply put, the Manhattan Project was committed to expediting research that would produce a viable atomic bomb.

If ever there was a case for the postman to feck a letter in the ditch this is it.

Hiroshima contributed to the end of the war, if you prevented it who's to say many times more Japanese would have died under weeks of conventional bombing.
The Russians were advancing so fast through Japanese occupied China and Korea they had to air drop fuel for their tanks. It's comparable to the German invasion of Poland. You know with Russia kicking in the back door and it's game over.

It's pretty much why North Korea exists today.

Re modern day events, If I could change one event in history it would be to change Blair's mind to act on the spurious WMD/Bad decision to join George Bush in the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

This decision open up a real can of worms + the removal of Gaddafi.
Two murderous tyrants who kept their respective tribes contained.

We would all be roman pagans. I am pagan myself still not sure it would be much better. I could be wrong though.

The destruction of the Library of Alexandria.
Good one Which time though? Manuscripts were probably burned in stages over eight centuries.

    ALL of them.

Though if it was just one event then maybe the most recent one because the earlier works would not have survived later fires. Would that Turkish library still be in place in Anthony hadn't donated it to Egypt ?

kind of silly to want to change any major history before you were born because you would cease to exist most likely

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

If I could change one event in my timeline, I would have changed jobs years earlier and not stuck with a soul sucking unrewarding unfulfilling one, just because it paid the bills. MUCH happier in my current job (even at half the prev wages!)

As for the Hitler option, read the Stephen Fry novel on exact same subject (time travel prevents Hitlers birth) and a bigger (smarter) tyrant fills the gap and Germany win WW2.

    What happened on those Day's

Those were the day's they proposed, voted on and confirmed that apostrophe's were allowed to be included in plural's.

Inconvenient fact - Abortions have been carried out for thousands of years.Long before the United States or its Supreme Court were ever thought of.

I'd go back to the time Natasha Bedingfield first auditioned for a record company and tell her, naaaaaaa, it's not for you. And saved the world from "read some Shelley, Byron and Keats, recited over a Hip Hop Beat".

What if Moeriscus hadn't opened the gate during the Siege of Syracuse ?
This was Greeks and Carthage vs Rome for control of the Med.

What if Norman invasion of England had happened a week later ?
Harold would have had his full army and may have defeated them.

Or what if Harold had been defeated earlier , then it would have been Vikings vs. Normans.

Either way the genocidal Harrying of the North may not have happened.
