He is secular, he defends Christians from slaughter. He has Sunni, Christian and Shia factions fighting for him. He believes in womens rights. He is fighting ISIS and Al-Qaeda. You would think we would support him.

But - He supports Russian and Iranian interests instead of American and European interests - so war/chaos and terrorism is an acceptable outcome it seems.

I think you need a history lesson. Assads father brought in suicide bombers. You can thank him for that.

    Update about Statement from Police

Three suspects shot dead within 8 minutes of initial attack by armed response unit.
    Tragically six people confirmed dead.
Dead suspects appeared to be wearing suicide vests but these have been confirmed as fake vests.

Ignorance of Islam is the big issue.

White airy fairy types I find don't know anything about it, they equate it to Judaism and Christianity.

The latter are spread by the word, Islam is spread through force. Research the Prophet Mohamed and the methods he undertook to grow Islam.

The final and the literal word of God delivered to the Prophet via the Angel Gabriel.

All religions are a physiological poison to me, a mentality that desires everyone to be the same.

The point is is that Islam in western countries is wholly second to Christian beliefs in western society and I believe they can't stomach that fact.

I did...show me where Assads father was responsible for the introduction of suicide bombing.

Assad is the least worst option imo. He is awful, but every other option is worse. The revolution had a chance, but the jihadists eliminated that by winning power in rebel areas. They killed any secular/moderate hope.

I want us (The West) to attack and eliminate the people who brought down The Twin Towers, yet we supply Al-Qaeda to attack Assad forces - it is disturbing.

Why would Assad gas his own Civilians but not the terrorists they're fighting, it makes zero sense. Meanwhile the CIA continues funding the terrorists and Saudis, dolla dolla bill y'all. It goes in line with the total hostility towards Russia and the media propaganda. The Washington Post's owner has a 600m contract with the CIA. The US's foreign policy is largely responsible for the mess we're in now with these attacks all over Europe.

We don't know exactly why or what is going on in Syria. We are not Syrians. So we would need to be VERY well read and open minded before weighing in.

A lot of them are from the countries they are attacking. It's an issue of anti social behavior in those communities that needs to be tackled with no prejudice.

If what's reported below is even semi accurate it's already over. Hypothetically speaking, even if they shipped out the 23,000 potential targets I'd bet my bottom dollar the issue wouldn't go away, people will appear to take their place.

The ideology is the problem, it breeds extremism. There's polls from Channel 4 that reported two thirds of British Muslims wouldn't give police terror tip offs, it's an environment of sympathisers. Lack of integration just adds more misery. People are being Radicalised in schools, mosques, estates and prisons etc, the only thing that can be done is to try contain it, but that isn't a solution to anything and in the long term it's only going to get worse. No matter what they do these attacks will continue to happen.

My neighbour on my left is a secondary school teacher, my neighbour on my right is a accountant. These folks who instigate these crimes have neighbours. These neighbours turn a blind eye. Shame on them. How is it possible to protect life if people simply do not care. These people who carried out this atrocity are known to their neighbours who simply didn't give a damn.

People in London don't always know their neighbors. It's not like here.

In fairness here now ..you do actually have to make and effort to get to know your neighbors a bit.

All the more reason to keep the refugees out then, since we don't know what is goin on there.

Police have a hard job, two tourists from the states in the area it happened. Swat team had them run through the streets in an evacuation.

Then again, the poor are put in the poorest places, in the high rise buildings with the drug addicts and the deranged. They don't even want to know their neighbours. So government you solve the problem you have caused. One country to the next it is the fault of the government. If you treat people with no respect then they are susceptible to random acts, particularly when impoverished.
I appreciate these are problems but I am not sure how they are related until we know more about the attacks. The last one Salman Abediwas from a semi detached house ..so hardly on the breadline. Terrorists can be wealthy or poor. There was patricia hearst.

Have you asked them if they hold extremist views or is their occupation enough to reassure you?

Can't read it. Any chance to can copy and paste?

Theresa May must have forgotten about retaliatory operations after Manchester. Must have just slipped her mind.

Now the UK can look forward to either no show May or lame duck Corbyn, who will either pretend nothing is happening or apologize for them.

All the while the Americans are helping the Saudi's and the EU are fighting wars with love and hashtags.

We are being sold out. At this very moment in time, the Russians are our only friends.

We all know they do. Same happened in Northern Ireland. The communities turn a blind eye. Little Johnny is Mary's son, be grand, he's not the type.
