You could say the same for the other side, in fairness

    "Ban all Muslims".

    "Lock all Muslims up".

"Merkel has a lot to answer for".

    "Religion of peace".

It's just the same nonsense being spouted on both sides.

Agree to a certain extent. But only one side is maintaining a status quo that is literally costing people their lives.

Are there still at least two people left on the run? I know they might have caught one possible attacker.

There are reports they have shot two as well.

Seemingly one person arrested and two people shot by police. However I've heard one eye witness talk about 5 attackers so it may not be over. Even if it is the police won't declare it over until they are certain they have got everyone involved.

Very very few people saying that on this thread.

this is how a thread on boards goes, every-time this happens -

PC Brigade - "lets wait for the facts before saying who did this."

PC Brigade - "we dont even know its a terrorist attack, stop being racist"

PC Brigade - "this isnt about religion."

Intelligence - "attackers were known to police and on a watch list".

PC Brigade - "this is all the fault of Tony Blair."

PC brigade - "you cant arrest people just because there are on a list."

PC Brigade - "the attacker was a british citizen, he was acting alone."

PC Brigade - "the Ira were just as bad."

PC Brigade - "you cant stop this happening."

PC Brigade - "civil liberties is more important than a safe world bla bla bla."

17 likes so far and I'm sure you'll get a few more.

It's still a pack of absolute lies. I reread the first few pages just to be sure.

A few people said immediately that they hoped it wasn't terror related but no one denied it.

Does telling lies and whoring for likes make you feel better about yourself?

But still people saying it. And also still people saying it in other threads about such incidents. I'm not saying whether the opinions are right or wrong, before certain posters latch on and create a thread about this on "that other forum" (I mean, seriously? - also that'll only make sense to a small number of people), but it is the exact same nonsense from both sides all the time.

Both are as bad as each other.

Probably an attack in the name of Islam though, yeah?

giving the perception that somebody is justifying terrorism by opposing anybody who dares go against the Political correct modus operandi, is "as bad as each other" eh?

    wow.

the majority of people i see bringing religion and race into this, are the same people going f*cking mental over the very notion of people even daring to associate the two together.

Sickening but not surprising. And don't thing it won't happen in N IRon/rep of Ireland. Only recently some ****head from Londonderry/Derry who had went over to be trained in Syria was released. Now he wasn't an immigrant Muslim rather some republican type shinner who converted to Islam. The fact he he was pictured with an automatic weapon in Syria training was surely a conviction in itself. Currently in a retrial. What a sick joke us Western Europeans have become.

The fat cat solicitors are laughing though.

First I heard about that. See I agree that someone like that should be locked up and that alone if true should be enough for a conviction.

Another user pointed out that the other side were calling for muslims to be locked up or banned from the UK
Much more of an exaggeration than the post you quoted

Yeah our immigration policy is outrageous when it comes to Islam, letting in all these trained doctors, nurses, surgeons, consultants who account for 15% of the total amount of doctors in Ireland.

    They're Muslims just FYI.

See this is the thing you don't seem to get (or want to get) - Muslim immigration into Ireland has been overwhelmingly positive.

What do you want done? Ban immigration from certain countries? Ban certain religions?

Yeah. I've had em. They ain't all that. Usually a south African white or a NZ white stepped in and sorted things. That's probably "racist" to say, but it's what I've experienced first hand. They may be "qualified" but they aren't good. I went in with a severed artery. The 15% made it worse. I breathed a sight of relief when a big, good old boy SA Doctor took over. Passing exams doesn't a Doctor make.
Anyway, back on topic. Why always with the bridges? Is it a water thing?

Where is the army? Not seen one soldier all night on any tv station.

Not required due to the nature of it, mostly very high numbers of cops with very high protection clothing, batons and shields which should be enough to locate and possibly tackle large bread knifes, until other support can be directed in.

Stopping a large van at 50mph is probably more difficult.

Of course it was. That was in response to the original hyperbole bollocks though.

Were you one of those who liked it?

Who is defending terrorist, I certainly am not! All extremists are scumbags be they Islamic, republican, loyalist, or any ilk. I don't condemn a whole group of people because of the actions of a few nutjobs. Those that do are simpletons.

And the books they preach from should be "modernised".

Absolutely agree. The amount of hate speech in many of these religious texts would not be tolerated in modern books. Its up there with Mein Kampf in some cases. Yet, we tolerate it because its supposedly of cultural significance. Well guess what, its not. Time to censor some of these "Holy Books".

    Where?

Seriously why do you people have to make stuff up?

Surely if you were so righteous you would be able to make your point without lying!

I feel so sorry for those people.
Just out trying to enjoy themselves when medieval savages who hate them and their Western values (music; nights out; enjoying yourself) and who are probably sucking on the teat of the welfare of those very Western values for their whole lives.

    Time to wake up lads.
The ironic "not Muslims you idiot..." at the end of that video is almost parodic at this stage.

But it clearly was. Go back and quote a post denying it was a terror attack which was the very first lie on the list.

Eye witness was in restaurant when one entered with a foot long blade, they fought back with bottles and chairs and plates . Kicked his ass.

Superb. Hope they beat him like a wet rag.

Xenophobes - "Course it was a bloody terror attack, my assumptions are always correct"

PC Brigade - "this isnt about religion."

Xenophobes - "Ban Islam! They are all potential mass murderers!"

Non-PC Brigade - "Of course it was terrorism, I don't need to wait for facts because my assumptions are always correct (and if they're wrong I'll unfollow the thread"

Non-PC Brigade - "Unconfirmed reports of another 7 various incidents (most of which are always false)"

Non-PC Brigade - "This is all the fault of the Qu'ran, Merkel, Islam and bloody politically correct types who refuse to call for the ban on an entire religion (I'll just ignore the 1 billion+ peaceful Muslims or drag in how they mis-treat women)"

Non-PC Brigade - "Lock them all up!! All of them! Internment! Who cares if they have ever or will ever commit a crime (has never worked anywhere but shur....)"

Non-PC Brigade - "Even if it was a British Citizen let's ban all Muslim immigration!! (because I have no capacity to consider that radicalization occurs online and banning immigration doesn't stop it)"

Non-PC Brigade - "FFS the IRA had nothing to do with religion! (yeah they only really targeted Protestants but irrelevant because they didn't chant Jesus is Great)"

Non-PC Brigade - "You can stop this just lock them all up, ban the religion!! (lol)"

Non-PC Brigade - "I'm fine with living in a country like North Korea where you have no rights if it stops these attacks!! (because I refuse to acknowledge the *actual* scale of the problem in the UK is statistically low and I'd rather live in a country without these terrible Muslims)"

I think you mean tens of thousands of nutjobs in this case. In fact, if I'm not mistaken there are several hundred thousand nutjobs on some of the terrorist watch lists, and that's just in the west alone and not including the ME.

The fact that the whole argument about what to do polarises people to the point of argument EVERY TIME this happens just sways in favour of the perpetrators. They want to terrorise, disrupt and cause fear.

If the squabbling is bad here on an Irish board imagine what this is like in the UK.

How on earth is society as a whole meant to combat this madness if there's infighting from the moment it happens? Whatever happened a bit of sensible discussion and debate instead?

Mods, apologies if this appears to be backseat modding, not intended as such. Just incredibly frustrating watching the meltdown.
