Sky keep showing a clip of police cars and ambulances flying by and people getting out of area and here comes a blonde jogger in her yoga pants with her headfones on without a care in the world '' nothing will stop my aim for fitness''
    Some people..

You prefer to see her stand around gawking in fear and terror? Could easily have been out a while and on her way home.

Lol. Like what? Do what? Give it your best shot. Take your time.

Maybe not be sending out the message that everyone is welcome. Merkel could have a lot to answer for

Maybe she didn't know there was an incident in the area.

What are the consequences for the UK general election campaign?

The vote is only 5 days away so will we see campaigning postponed again? There must be some fear that there could be another attack between now and Thursday.

Nothing, these incidents are now so common the "shock" lasts a couple of days and then the country moves on. Unfortunately those affected can't do the same.

SHe was clearly continuing on her merry way, could easily jog up a street and into the arms of an attacker.

Hi, are you going to start talking about me on that "other forum" then ;)?

That was my first post in this thread. Indeed it's quite possibly the first post I've made on Boards.ie concerning anything even remotely political. But congratulations on forming an opinion about who I am based on such little information. The irony is absolutely delicious.

this is how a thread on boards goes, every-time this happens -

PC Brigade - "lets wait for the facts before saying who did this."

PC Brigade - "we dont even know its a terrorist attack, stop being racist"

PC Brigade - "this isnt about religion."

Intelligence - "attackers were known to police and on a watch list".

PC Brigade - "this is all the fault of Tony Blair."

PC brigade - "you cant arrest people just because there are on a list."

PC Brigade - "the attacker was a british citizen, he was acting alone."

PC Brigade - "the Ira were just as bad."

PC Brigade - "you cant stop this happening."

PC Brigade - "civil liberties is more important than a safe world bla bla bla."

People like Zappone and Fitzgerald are only increasing that risk with their immigration policies

Yeah our immigration policy is outrageous when it comes to Islam, letting in all these trained doctors, nurses, surgeons, consultants who account for 15% of the total amount of doctors in Ireland.

    They're Muslims just FYI.

See this is the thing you don't seem to get (or want to get) - Muslim immigration into Ireland has been overwhelmingly positive.

What do you want done? Ban immigration from certain countries? Ban certain religions?

    Ban certain religions?

It would be a sensible start, yes.

Not much more info now, I'll check in tomorrow morning when no doubt there will be a significant death toll.

Strange how this is now a weekly routine and has become an accepted part of Western life.

You could say the same for the other side, in fairness

    "Ban all Muslims".

    "Lock all Muslims up".

"Merkel has a lot to answer for".

    "Religion of peace".

It's just the same nonsense being spouted on both sides.

It'll make immigration and security a more prominent issue on the doorsteps and it'll harden euro-sceptic views still further.

Make no mistake either, these are questions and issues we'll (and Europe as a whole) have to deal with too yet rather than the current "be grand" / kick the can down the road response to date.

Someone mentioned that there were people cheering on the attacks while broadcast on tv. If that's true, straight on the plane, and straight outta UK, never to return, and a scrutinising eye cast on all people known to them.

Countries are like houses. They might be in bits, untidy, roof leaking, whatever. But they BELONG to those people.

If I had some uninvited guest come to live with me (craziness 1), and that guest didn't like me or my rules or how I go about my life, despite inviting themselves there (craziness 2), and then they start ****ting up the house (craziness 3), and if I go to complain another fellow irish housemate started chastising me for picking on the "poor guest" (craziness 4)...........

If it comes down to the self-invited guest feeling uncomfortable because I have my eyeball on them every second, or ME feeling uncomfortable because they might **** up MY house.....its gonna be ME, all day long, that takes priority.

Put them on a list for the smallest offence or dodgy behaviour, and chuck them out. There'll be the inevitable comparisons with Nazis and jews, IM sure, the difference is that these non-indigenous people are not from here, and if they don't play strictly by our rules, they can just go home, or else to a far more fitting country (ie muslim country that practices the muslim way of life.)

This whole disaster from the last good few years is so far out of control and so far out of reason, its actually getting hard to comprehend. When is something going to be DONE about this?

Both are as bad as each other.

Probably an attack in the name of Islam though, yeah?

No it's not an accepted part of Western life. It's increasingly prevalent but nobody is accepting it. Look at the reaction to Manchester. Look at people jumping down each other's throats in this thread. Nobody is accepting this as part of our lives.

Are there still at least two people left on the run? I know they might have caught one possible attacker.

no, no....you cant, because nobody ever says the first two, i have never seen 1 post on here blaming an entire membership of a certain belief, for this (and in fact it was you who brought up that belieft). its a massive massive misconception from the social justice warriors of our time that by condemning something means you are condeming 100% of its membership.

as regards Merkel, yes she does have alot to answer for. as do the majority of world leaders.

Sickening but not surprising. And don't thing it won't happen in N IRon/rep of Ireland. Only recently some ****head from Londonderry/Derry who had went over to be trained in Syria was released. Now he wasn't an immigrant Muslim rather some republican type shinner who converted to Islam. The fact he he was pictured with an automatic weapon in Syria training was surely a conviction in itself. Currently in a retrial. What a sick joke us Western Europeans have become.

The fat cat solicitors are laughing though.
