I would power this Tyranitar. Crunch is best defensive move.

BTW I have high hopes for Shuckle after the gym rework.

    Ah, thanks. Hadn't realised that.

    I know Shuckle right ;) ?

If any of you had an 80%+ Tyranitar, now at 2184CP but with Crunch as its mani move, would you bother powering it up further? I have 10 candies at the moment and figure I'm unlikely to get another Tyranitar so might as well power it up. Or I use the stardust for something better, like my good Snorlax or my Ampharos.

I'm not too hung up on movesets, especially for rarer pokemon that are going to be harder to get again. I only have the one Tyranitar, and thanks to a candy rich hatch today, I've maxxed him out. Did I really need too, maybe not, is the return ridiculous for the amount of candy/stardust, absolutely, but it's all part of the fun.

Regarding what others are saying about interest in the game, I am just missing Unown and other regionals at the moment, so no more hunt required for the moment. Irrespective of that however, I'm still enjoying hatching/catching and the weather helps with this.

Take my last 24 hours, I caught a high CP Snorlax, this morning hatched a Larvatar with 32 candy and stopped on the way home to prestige a level 9 gym in Bushy Park. On the way out of the park, what appears only a wild Dragonair. 10 candy thank you very much and as I spin a stop just before getting back into my car, it deals me a 10k. I know we all have mixed luck with 10k eggs, but just getting one is a great motivator.

My last two 2k have both been nidoran

I've gotten through a good few 2km eggs the last two weeks - I'd say at least half of them half been Nidoran

I was coming home from work last night and quickly put on the London PoGo map to see if there was anything interesting in my area. Saw a Dragonite all the way on the other side of the high street with 6 mins to go. Practically galloped up the street to get it, and it took about 7 ultra balls but I caught him!

Only took over 200km of walking to get my first one, this one too 3 mins of running :p

Did a good bit of walking today in spite of the rain. Hatched a bunch of eggs, shame it was mostly naff, got Nidoran male, Ponyta, Oddish, Cleffa, Staryu, and a Slowpoke. More annoyed I didn't get a 10km after clearing out these eggs.

Abra from my last 2k got a 10k straight after, need to buy some incubators soon any sign of promo codes yet?

Saw a video where there was apparently some event on in some US sprint stores where you download some app and go in store to prove you downloaded it. Then sprint would email you a promo code. Got you great/ultra balls and lures and incense I think.

Hope we get some incubator promo soon get rid of the dregs I'm stuck with. Rediculous thing is if you have 9 10k eggs and 9 incubators you can hatch all 9 by walking 10k if you have 1 incubator you need to walk 90 k to hatch them.

Some changes in hatches according to Silph Road :
    https://thesilphroad.com/science/june-2017-changes-to-egg-species

six species are no longer hatching from new eggs.

Need info on how to identify nests.

Lloyd's Tower Kells has all the makings of what I imagine a nests should be but I only rarely get near it....yesterday before the migration I found 3 Gravellers.
Today I didn't find any dominant species at a particular time but over the course of the day , I visited 3 times and kept finding Jigglypuff and Eevees.

Going back tomorrow to again check it out.
The little park has 3 pokestops and 2 gyms.

So what else should I be looking out for and I don't fancy the idea of been there at 1:00am to see the change over.

If Wooper is gone from eggs I'd be delighted. It's horrible hatching one of those from a 5km.

Did hatch a Lickitung today, which will give me enough candy (theoretically anyway) to evolve one in gen 4.

There is a few types of nests that you will see. The first will be a clear nest with almost 99% of the time you will catch multiple pokemon. So fairview park was a snubball nest last week and once you were near it you will always see a few on ur sightings, if you take a walk around the park more will usually pop up that arent at a stop. So you mite only see 3 on ur sightings but u could easily catch 6.
Then you have a frequent spawn spot. Casino Marino is common for this. So say its Onix, you might see it there in the sightings 8 out 10 times u pass it but there will usually only be the one onix there.
If your on silph road read the comments, if they are multiple sightings i might take a walk but if its frequent i wouldnt bother unless its near me and then i just watch out for it! I think silph road have full explanations on nests to!

Gligar is still a frequent occurrence from the very uncommon 10k eggs I get.

I definitely used up my 10km luck with that Snorlax. Three back to back Sudowoodo this morning! And I only picked up one 10km egg after that, and two 5kms. I'm not buying incubators for 5km eggs anymore, so it'll take me a while to clear them out now :p

Wahey my db/dc dragonite is back from his American holiday - he was gone for over a month and I really missed him in countering blisseys...

My 3001cp Gary is back also which is a pity but I was starting to get worried that Dragonite was going to be stuck in a remote everglades gym forever...

Saw the funniest gym in the US - in the middle of the everglades there was a tier 10 gym with 10 cp 10 gastlys...didn't have the heart to tear it down, plus it was team instinct so they need all the help they can get.

I generally only fight red gyms for the exp and only take on yellows if it looks like it'll be difficult for others to take it down (multiblisseys etc).

Anyone notice a very slight increase in spawns of larvitar over the past 2/3 days?

I hadn't seen 1 since gen 2 came out but caught 1 on wednesday and 1 on thursday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 114 ✭✭Davmcgoo

One of my local nests is cyndaquil according to the silph road so I will surely catch a decent one soon!
