Days after so why on earth is it been brought up now nearly 6 months later.

It was brought up at the time and debated. Not sure why it's being brought up again now. On its own and used as indisputable evidence.

Well the whole thing sounded very scripted in fairness.

Did you even read the first page? It was reported reported in the Irish Times, Irish Independent and many others and the video was also mentioned on the first page. With eyewitness accounts mostly saying nothing major happened. The only conflicting eyewitness account is that couple (whose video is old as the story by the way). There is no evidence of a mass riot, no CCTV footage, no phone camera footage, and most eyewitnesses say nothing serious happened.

You just read what you what to read and believe what you want to believe. You complain about bias but only believe a single source (whose reputation has been destroyed with actual evidence and is currently in the High Court) which supports your agenda and tell everybody else they're biased.

    It's actually comical.

Ah you do see on the page where it says updated??
I saw the video today on youtube & remembered this thread & people debating whether it happened or not. So after all the abuse the Liberal got about it, it turns out something did happen. The Irish Times: A security man said about 80 to 100 people.
Maybe you just read & believe what you want to believe because you say I only believe a single source but in the paragraph before you say it was reported by other papers. So whether you believe the Liberal or not other papers reported it later but I guess they got it wrong too

    From the Irish Times

'Gardaí confirmed there was an incident, but not a large-scale riot as described on the website. “No one had been injured and there was no evidence of any weapons involved,” a Garda spokesman said.
The spokesman told The Irish Times last week three boys and a girl were held in connection with public order offences in the Henry Street area and released a short time afterwards on St Stephen’s Day.
A staff member at a shop on Henry Street said the incidents started at about 5pm. He said it was tense at the beginning, but “they were only kids who ran up and down the street and made noise. We didn’t have to close.”

What page was updated? If you're talking about the Irish Times article then I quoted it myself at the time.

All the papers said something happened. It's not a conspiracy where it was rewritten afterwards. This was all reported at the time with differing eyewitness accounts but no eyewitness could confirm the riot claim. Yes, 80 to 100 people. 80 to 100 people what though?
"about 80 to 100 [people] teamed up and ran up and down the middle of Henry Street to where there was an unmarked Garda car."
That's very different from TheLiberal.ie's version of 200 people rioting on Henry Street. Very different indeed.

Even if worst case scenario did occur whats this supposed to mean? Whats supposed to happen? Is this just something to hold over all black people now if it did occur?

Other newspapers reported 80-100 people. So something did happen so its not like they pulled it out their a$$. Look I dont know anything about the Liberal I saw the video of the family today & remembered this thread, thought I'd post it but didnt think it was gonna kick up a storm

TheLiberal.ie reported it on the 5th. Irish Times reported it the day after with a much more cautious tone and eyewitness accounts.

A few days later, TheLiberal.ie found an eyewitness that disagrees with all the other eyewitnesses and agrees with their article and included it in an update.

The whole thing was then discussed here and across the internet.

Yeah the video was published 6 months ago and discussed numerous times on this thread already if you actually went to the effort of reading through some of it.

Everyone agrees that something happened but not to the extent of a full scale riot.

I call bull**** on the video. One individual responded to their Facebook thread who claimed to have witnessed the event. The user was literally revealed as a puppet account of the site's owner months later... So yep, they have a tendency of manufacturing, plagiarising and bigging the site up. So nope, not in the slightest bit credible.

Well it looks like the story was true afterall, this American family was caught up in it. Why was none of it reported by the main media?? I wonder!!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBQZPAsZf6o

It was reported, and a bit of investigation yourself into who that 'random' couple are might be required.

Friend of mine works for a reputable Irish paper, she made multiple attempts to get that family's side of the story and they totally ignored all of them. Goddamn mainstream media suppressing the story
