When people look down on you for not being a hero.
I mentioned that a lady had passed out or possibly had a seizure of some kind..her legs were straight when she went down. It happened in a very crowded shop I was just walking past the door of.
Her husband was already bending down to her, and everyone's attention was on her.
''Why didn't you go in, or call an ambulance?''. Because I'd have had to push through a crowd to get there and I'd have been of little help as I don't know much first aid, and it looked like she was already being helped. I think people already had their phones out (to call an ambulance, I'd imagine.) It's not like she was alone and being ignored on the floor.
Maybe some people think standing over someone and gawking uselessly at them, is the right thing to do.

Newsagent scammed me. Instead of giving me a euro coin I got a 10 franc coin

How is a French coin from 1989 floating around Ireland?? I never realised until a vending machine rejected it. I can't go back to the shop, zero proof

you should've pushed your way to her and took a selfie for facebook. You're doing the whole kindness thing wrong.

TA i mistakenly ordered pizza with BBQ sauce base instead of the usual tomato. Rotten, too sweet and spoils the pizza. i only chose BBQ because i thought it was asking me what dips i want.

Hey, there was a homeless chap just up the street. I couldn't miss a Facebook viral photo opportunity like that!

MY Ta: I've got a big workspace ready today and no sunshine, which is the other vital ingredient for my project!

And people )in fairness only the very odd few) from Dublin thinking the West is full of hillbillies but they'd go to Outer Mongolia on a backpacking holiday in a hearbeat :D Explore your own beautiful country, we're not cannibals!

TA at the hairdresser this morning- she told me she's getting married in a few months, and I politely expressed an interest, asked all the appropriate questions etc. Then she asked me if I was married and I said "no, I never married, that's not for me at all". She then launched into a spiel about how I clearly just haven't met the right one yet, and how she was just the exact same as me (funny how she can judge that given that she doesn't know my reasons for not wanting to marry) until this time last year when she met her fiance . She went on to tell me how it was "hard at the start" as he was drinking lots and smoking lots of weed, but he gave that up in the new year and it's just all great now. Oh, except for the fact that his kids don't like her and therefore he has stopped seeing them which apparently "breaks his heart" and he struggles to get a job cos people judge him on his past (I didn't ask her to clarify what that involved)... but they're really happy, seemingly. And apparently I should "never give up hope".
Ehh, sweetheart, I'll take my happy, stable, single life over your car-crash of a soon-to-be-married one any day of the week, thanks.

There is a significant correlation between people with smelly armpits and standing on public transport holding the overhead rails.

People who do not understand queuing etiquette.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 239 ✭✭salomon

People queuing in a a shop or waiting to get on a bus and are suddenly surprised with demands for money and then begin rummaging for their wallet and start fumbling looking for most amount of coins to pay.

Should be a summarily executable offence

I actually had tears in my eyes from this person....absolute walking mankbag. He was wearing one of those sort of Lycra tshirt things that I'd say has never seen a washing machine. And in order to bring his armpits up to any sort of acceptable level of cleanliness, I imagine it would have involve an electric paint stripper, domestos and possibly Agent Orange.

Speaking of public transport, on a bus now with 20 loud and obnoxious teenagers who take up almost every row with their legs sprawled over the seats taking up whole seats by themselves.

One of your rights as a customer is 'quiet enjoyment of your journey'. I've found if you give very limited responses, they usually take the hint. In extreme cases, I've faked sleep, or faked making a phone call saying 'excuse me while I' - but it's OK to say 'too early to chat mate'.

im so annoyed I don't even know what it is im annoyed about so I'll just mention the most trivial reason but it's by no means the only one:
Buying sweets for my dinner and thinking they were those chewy ones with the syrup inside but they were just these manky chewy plain ones fruit gums I think they're called they tasted like rubber and nearly dislocated my jaw trying to chaw them ffs
