Rabbids without the humour or self mockery? Do they understand the draw of Rabbids at all? What next, vegan chorizo?

The princess thing is cliché too, I mean is there no middle ground at all between damsel in distress and Kung Fu master? I know it's not just them, it's all kids media at the moment but still...

I think the 'no more' is in regards to the 'conservative' line above it. Vegan chorizo though......it wouldn't be that bad......right? *echoes*

Most of their product line seems to be compatible, including those with twin sticks.
Could be a decent alternative, at a better price, for the official Pro controller.

Is there a chance that Nintendo will patch out the controllers though?

It certainly suggests, too, that there is no good reason that the Wii controllers, in particular the WiiU Pro one, can't be made to work successfully with the Switch :(

Do they do one with analogue triggers?

    I've just bought this one.

I'll let you know how it goes once I receive it (probably in a week as it's the free delivery)

Looks like GameStop are charging E70 for Street Fighter and it wasn't a placeholder price.

I got the nes30pro up and running this morning. Think I'm gonna cancel my order for a second set of joycons, this and the pro controller have me set.

Delighted that my Nes30 Pro will now work with the Switch. I'm in no major rush now to get any more controllers.

Speaking of controllers, I still haven't received any response from Nintendo re my joycon issues. Is there an email or number to chase this up?

Never, ever give gamestop any of your money. They were charging 79 Euro for a used copy of Nioh when I was last there.

It felt wrong buying Mario kart off them but I had a voucher from Christmas.

Isn't the RRP of Street Fighter supposed to be 39.99?

    It's remarkable.

I try to buy in Gamestop as much as possible, but no flippin way I'm paying that.

Ah they can't (and won't) charge that. The real price won't be up until Friday I'd say....

What if you pre order online though? They usually dispatch on Wednesday for Friday releases so I'd say they will charge that.

For the price of the SF2 cart you could buy the Neo Geo fighting games on the eShop and have a much better time.

I'd love to now buy an 8 Bit Do controller to use with the Switch, but I'm worried most out there are dodgy knock offs.
Any good some good value links to the devices??

    The Switch guzzles energy.

I'm curious if more than one 8bitdo controller can be used at the same time for multiplayer gaming

I really wanna hear you argue a case for buying from GAMESTOP as opposed to Amazon or somewhere else who aren't trying to squeeze you for every penny.

Without getting into it too much, there's loads of reasons.

    * Getting it straight away and not having to rely on the very iffy Amazon/Asendia postal service

    * Supporting local jobs. Yes, Gamestop is a massive company, but the jobs are local jobs.

    * Trade ins. Amazon don't. GameStop do. Regardless of what you perceive the value should be, GameStop give infinitely more than Amazon.

It really doesn't matter why that much. Money is not always the only factor, and some people (not pointing fingers) seem to take way too much offense that GameStop, with more overheads, charge more than Amazon.

I go where the value is.
    Simple as that.
If Argos have it, Smyth's, Gamestop, and I must have it now, I'll buy in one of those places.
I find Gamestop increasingly uncomfortable to browse in, with the assumption that the man in his forties with a grey beard, browsing all the games sections must, therefore, be on the cusp of dementia and not know where he is, so along comes an over eager minion to offer assistance, loyalty cards, advice on trading in and other unwelcome nonsense.
At least in Smyth's no one bugs you and in Argos, you could be buying GTAV, Senran Kagura or a new toaster, they couldn't give a fiddler's.

And, how exactly to Gamestop give "infinitely more" than Amazon?

I'm sure that works out well for you, as I play... eventually, the €15 copy of CoD:IW I bought for my PS4 from Amazon the other week, with extras, while Gamestop are charging €30 for the same game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,678 ✭✭✭TrustedApple

I am another one who finds gamestops new style stores horrible to look at games in.

Only the main games are on show for the PS4 so if you wont anything different you have to bend down on your knees and look at the bottom row where all the not so main games are for the console.

Now that the staff are in the middle of the store i fell like I am always getting watched by one of the staff who is waiting to jump on me to offer me some kind of games protraction or Gamestop LV 3 membership.

It just does not fell like a games shop anymore its a shop that if i need something right away i run in grab and go. While in the old days i would have took my time in there looking at games and maybe i might find a bargain.

I don't mind buying in Gamestop. I like getting games Day 1 and they're the only shop near me. There's an Argos but they don't get every game in, especially stuff like Little Nightmares. I realise that they're overpriced but I'm from the Midlands and shops down here are dying a slow death. It's a miracle that we still have a place that sells games at all. I'm happy to pay a little over the top if it means having access to a bricks and mortar store with friendly staff that want to talk about games every time I'm there.

I've ordered this one from Amazon - Amazon is not the seller but it's fulfilled by Amazon.
Worst case scenario I can return it - I've never had a problem with Amazon yet, and I been buying with them since the start

Yeah I love the 8bitdo controllers. Have them all except the snes one which is on its way from Amazon. Solid controllers. All real on Amazon. My favorite is the arcade fc30 pro stick. God it last year on play Asia for €80. Worth every penny.

I use them with the retropie. Great that you can use them on the switch now. You can defo use them on the Wii, and, I think, on the WiiU.

    Buy them all! :)
