There was a fair bit of commotion at HT and in particular ft last night apparently, things got hot and heavy, we'll hear more as the day goes on no doubt.

I know underage success does not guarantee success at Senior, but its worrying that our underage teams are being beaten handy by Kerry, cause Kerry know how bring these players through much better then ours.

Nevermind Kerry, staying with Tipp and Clare will be our aim for the foreseeable future

Fitzgibbon in midfield an interesting one. best of luck to all

I am very happy with the team. I really think we can get a win.

The start is vital for us. If we get up and running quickly, the belief to get a win will be there. If we get sucker punched by an early goal or they rack up a few early points then I would be worried the heads might drop.

A bit of momentum early on and then this tram could really announce itself for the year.

Everything rests in the defence imo. If they hold Tipp any way at all we've a great chance. Midfield up is a perfect blend of youth and experience with some serious pace and flair as well as honest work rate. Have real faith in the new lads. Need a huge game out of the likes of Lehane. That half back line for Tipp is as good as you'll find in any team in history. Glad to see Hoggy is starting, heard quite a few rumours of a bust up midweek. Very able members on that bench too.

I agree. I don't see a line on the pitch where we are better man for man than our markers. Still think it's about the best team we could've picked. Hope the younger lads can make the step up and the more experienced lads show a bit of steel that we've been lacking.

my guess is that the forwards will line out
    lehane meade Kingston
    cadogan harnedy horgan

if the backs can hold the ball and break through tipps tacklers before clearing the forwards could do enough.
if the backs cant get out and have to clear from inside their opponents up into the air the half forward line will be murdered.

More like Meade to midfield and Harnedy to the inside with Cadogan as a two man full forward. Hoggy out to the half forward line.

It has to be last chance saloon times for the likes of horgan today. Either step up to the mark in terms of a full performance from play over 70 mins or step off. I hope it's been made that clear to him. Lehane is no longer the young kid on the block. As Tyrell said the young lads need leaders and the senior players need to provide it, something I'm not sure they're capable of.
The game will be won or lost with our backs in my opinion. Can't see us winning at all but a fighting loss would be preferable to a capitulation as much as it pains me to utter those words.

I have seen few say +15 point win for Tipp, but sad thing is that seems more likely then Cork win.

I hope im eating humble pie later. Will only be too happy to.

    Up the Rebels!!

Can't wait to see which Cork team turn up. The one where players battle for 70 mins or bottle it. All I want is consistent effort from the lads with no one going 'missing'. I think the team has a good mix and are well capable of giving Tipp a good game, here's hoping.

Not fair on Horgan, Christy Ring could not make this team great. We have a average team, but lets hope on the up. Up the Blood and Bandage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,551 ✭✭✭SeaFields

The blood pressure is up after that 1st half. Great stuff. Hopefully we can maintain it and kick on in the second half.

Young lads playing very well. Cahalane would break your heart as per usual. Can't ask for more so far though. More of the same lads.

I think it is as I hoped and predicted.

Once Cork got out of the blocks to get that belief going that I thought we could do it. We went 2 points up and I knew at the very least Cork showed up to fight.

Delighted to win a close game!!

Lehane,Meade,Spillane,Fitzgibbon .... new heroes though I grant Lehane is not new!!

I think they have announced themselves

What a win! Un f*cking real. Well done lads. That's the performance we've been crying out for. The young lads were unreal and the older lads carried them well. Absolutely thrilled for them all. Was lovely seeing young Mikey Cahalane scoring the goal too.

Well done Cork. Had to listen to it on the radio, but have recorded.
