If he doesn't keep his car clean or would not care about driving with missing wheel trims or dents and scratches.

A clean car is the sign of a filthy mind.

    Being "told" what to do.
Nothing I hate more in general but from friends/partners in particular.
I was going out with a girl for a bout 6 months and she was nice but the more time went on the more she seemed to be trying to become my second mammy telling what to do/not do.

I was getting pretty fed up until one day she told me to stop eating so quickly. That was it, I told her there and then we weren't right for each other and never seen her again.
Looking back it probably was a bit harsh on my behalf but it was always going to end the same way if she kept trying to take over my life so maybe it was better in the long term.

She sounded like perfect wife material tbh. You get used to it after 15 or 20 years.

Maybe this is what happens when people have lots of shallow dealbreakers but really like the person. Instead of ditching you they just try to change you beyond recognition instead.

    If he's a bad driver. Totally off-putting.

Also I just remembered I dumped a guy when I was about 16 for eating a snickers before we kissed. Disgusting. :pac:

I remember kissing a girl after she had eaten cheese and onion tayto when I was a similar age, I could specifically tell it was Tayto she had that much left in her mouth and in her braces :p . She wasn't long getting the heave ho.

Oh no, I'd be the opposite. I saw a 911 the other week with a large scratch on the rear side panel. Not something a shopping trolley would do. I gave that driver a silent nod of approval. That car has been driven, not preened.

Anything a bit too polished in life is a turn off for me.

A girl that doesn't want children would be a deal breaker for me. Not being able to is different of course.

That's interesting. So if a girl after said she never wanted kids you'd break up with her but if she wasn't able to have them, you'd stay with her?

    Smoking

A woman who calls her female friends 'lads' when they get together.

Going around tidying up after me. Go away.

Trying to influence what I wear. My clothes options are bad enough without you pointing them out

Why is that strange? Someone that can't have kids can adopt.

On what planet is that shallow? :pac:

I'm enjoying this thread, it's also funny because my OH would have been written off by loads of ye based on your answers, I've been wondering how on earth he was single! :D

The only one I can think of that is actually shallow is if he wore tracksuit pants in public. Luckily he only wears them inside arsing about. I did get a previous boyfriend to stop going out in public wearing them, though :o

I didn't say it was strange. I said it was interesting.

Ok, your follow up comment made it sound like you found it strange, but perhaps I misinterpreted you.

I think for me, someone who couldn't understand why people dress differently would be no good to me. I have many alternative looking friends and ignorance like that has no place in my life. It's only cloth.
And someone who dislikes smoking is fine, it makes a certain amount of sense, if they realise it is an addiction and can handle me smoking (until I'm ready to give it up) with as much respect as you can have for non smokers around you, but if they have the ''ew! gross! you must have an eternal stench and be yellow fro head to toe'' attitude, no thanks. Especially if they're a regular drinker or take illegal drugs regularly.

Isn't it amazing that probably 90% of these "dealbreakers" would be written off (at least for a while) if the person in question was hot enough.
"Sorry Giselle, I'm not interested, you're wearing a Mayo jersey in your Tinder profile". As if!

It's the age old scenario of someone pinging stones at your bedroom window at 01:00 in the morning to tell you they love you.

If you think they're hot, it's romantic. If you do not find them attractive, they're weird. The action of the person outside the window is the same in both cases.

diasgree alot with that. It may not tell a lot but dress style tells personality. A girl who dresses in:

is probably going to be different from a girl who dresses in

    Just saying....

Really? Please explain what kind of clues you draw from the outfits?

They look completely ordinary outfits for two different kind of days/settings, and I could see plenty of women I know wearing both outfits at different times.

If it tells personalty, that is a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if all of those items came from the same shop at different times of year.

Exactly. One is a summer outfit, one winter. Don't see any difference in them other than that.

I just thought of another one.....jocks
Saggy washed out, faded ones, once black, now a dishwatery grey.
Same goes for women's underwear though too :D
