What deal-breakers do you have before you began any romantic relationship or even friendship that most people would consider shallow?

    Whats yours first?

    Have a few

1.) Accent - can be the most pretty and/or sexy girl but if she has that thick Dublin accent or any other thick Irish accent.....

2.) 'Traditional beliefs' - Can't really deal with people who believe in a 'tough love' mentality in parenting (even though don't want kids), discipline, advice. This also includes believing in traditional gender dynamics. Should at least be nurturing and open minded.

3.) Height - I'm 5ft 5in and don't want a girl who is below too much. Nothing to do with femininity or masculinity rather its simply attraction. I tend to find shorter women (with a fair number of exceptions) do not portray a look of seriousness. Height is the main focus in a negative fashion.

    If she has a willy

don't you mean a feminine penis?

When you don't actually like someone that much trivial things will annoy you about them, shallow or otherwise!

    Smoking.

    Your clothes smell.

    Your breath smells.

    Your fingers are stained.

And worst of all, you just constantly stink, but you're surrounded by it so much you don't even realise how disgusting you are.

None of the ones posted so far are really 'shallow' though apart from the guy who said someone's choice of coat was a deal-breaker!

I smoke and my fingers are perfectly normal, as is the rest of me, probably because I don't smoke eighty woodbines a day, or in an enclosed space, and I'm a clean person, but a yellowed, growly old smoker would be off putting to me, too.
People who don't just not smoke themselves but behave like smokers are something that crawled out of the sulphurous pits of hell. Very extreme judgement is off putting. They usually see no irony about it because they don't count their own vices as bad habits.

I'm not keen on stretched ears, board shorts, caps on backwards, skinny jean, converse type shoes, lots of piercings on men (I have a few and I think they suit some women).

Not trivial but I couldn't go out with a racist or someone with offensive attitudes to people with disabilities.

'Traditional Gender Dynamics' - I'd lead with that.

At 5'5 you might want to be a bit more open minded

But you initially found them attractive before those issues started to bother you...

Yep. Can't expect a fat 45 year old to have the same prospects as a young fit 25 year old. Something's gotta give.

When describing a conversation that rambled on she used to use the phrase, "Blah de blah de blah" instead of "Blah blah blah". I remember thinking, this isn't going to work.

Once broke up with a girl because of her laugh - it sounded like a moan.

I'd never go out with a woman with brown eyes. Personality counts for little if i don't like looking you in the eyes.

I will admit to the following shallow hal moments in my past:

    1) Her boobs were too small in fact they were almost non existant and she wore a padded bra. I didn't realise this for a few weeks and it was extremely off putting when we got intimate for the first time, I couldn't get over it and so there ended that.

    2) She had a really gravelly voice, I thought it was ok at first for a few months but it then started to really annoy me to the point where I simply couldn't stand it any longer and ended the relationship.

    3) She was very religious and was always going to mass. She also made it very clear from the start that she didn't believe in sex before marriage which I was actually ok with at the start. What got to me in the end was the religion and god bless this and god bless that and thank god for this and that and so on. I 'ghosted' on her.

Edit: the above are 3 different girls.
