We both registered our cards and stopped the cashier at €35 and then spent €45 on the second card so should get a tenner back each hopefully.

bought flights on cityjet last night. clicked the link direct from the rewards site. 10% cashback was a deal clincher when weighing up against other options

lidle deal there for me, but never really shop there.

all this reward programm looks a bit messy:
- deals appears/ disappear frequently without any reason
- Topaz deal didn't worked out for me as garage operated under Topaz brand in reality was not a Topaz according to AIB
- too many restrictions (minimum spending, online/in store, expiry date etc) - you need to chase all this to participate

all this above makes AIB reward program look cheap and miserable

The Lidl €10 I got was great as I shop there anyway so it'll be pot luck, but signing up cost nowt!

Which Topaz station was it if you don't me asking? Was it the one at Usher's Quay by any chance?

I'd be interested to know this too as I use the same. This one is listed on the website though so i guess it should be ok.

Did they say this to you regarding TOPAZ? Most of their garages are not actually owned by them (only the ones with a restore are owned apparently) but most people won't know this.....

I spent €40 at the Topaz at Ushers Quay yesterday, but haven't got any e-mail or anything (may be a little soon I know). However, it shows up as "One Oil" online in my credit card account, so worried now that it doesn't qualify.
The web site, unhelpfully, doesn't list all the participating stores. Only a link to Google Maps with a search for all Topaz stations

When you follow the link from the rewards website, if you move the map to the area it does show as a Topaz station, it might take a couple of days to show up.

Yes the Usher's Quay garage does show up as a Topaz station. But according to andersat2, "Topaz deal didn't worked out for me as garage operated under Topaz brand in reality was not a Topaz according to AIB". So it'd be useful to konw if there are "Topaz" stations on that list, or the one he used in particular, that do not qualify for AIB rewards.

That was my assumption too. And it looks like the station andersat2 used doesn't seem to be listed there on Google Maps via the link. So probably ok, will wait and see. Thanks for the pointer to the AIB forum!

Question I spend €36/€37 in lidls today using my card signed up for rewards today as I thought I done it few days back but turns out there was a problem with my card number but got it sorted!! Would it still work or would I not get it as it would be next time :-) seems like a great thing as I always use my card

I purcahsed fuel in a Topaz garage well over a week ago as well and haven't received the email or the reward either - the garage i purcahsed from is on google maps for Topaz - strange.

Its probably when your transaction is processed completely. I used card in Lidl on Tuesday and I didn't get notification till Thursday. Transaction was "Pending" on the bank statement till Thursday. The cashback is still not received (after a week). I'm sure it will come thru at some stage.

The Topaz stations that don't have the Topaz stores (Restore branded stores) attached are not owned by the Topaz group. They are franchises. Was it one of these you went to? They sell Topaz fuel but they are not Topaz stores. They are possibly not included.

I filed up in a Topaz Friday evening before signing up to the Rewards scheme and got an email over the weekend telling me I was getting the €5 back.

Well they're clearly not because there are a few people now who haven't received the cash back. If some stores are not owned by Topaz what makes you think they are definitely included? All Topaz stations could be referring to Topaz owned only. There are places that sell Starbucks branded coffee but they are not Starbucks stores and they don't accept Starbucks loyalty cards. The franchises are privately owned and may not be part of the scheme. Selling Topaz fuel doesn't make them a Topaz store.

For arguments sake why doesn't somebody specify whether or not it was an actual Topaz owned store they purchased their fuel in and did not get the cash back. Because if it wasn't then you bought Topaz fuel from an independent retailer.

I just comment from that AIB rep replied on the AIB talk to thread, it was asked that specifically that about owned and franchised stations, they came to say all are included, people that didn't get the they were asked for email address and card details to check it.

Maybe it's nothing to do with the issue so, it would be interesting if people who are having the issue would specify whether or not they bought from a franchise.

I got cashback from a non-Topaz owned store (Niall Clarke Oils in Dundalk..)

It wasn't on the main list of stores on the aib.visaoffers site, but was listed on the google maps link you can click for more locations..
