Well he said he was going to name the child after a great fighter so its great trolling.

Dunno about "CJ" though. Bit Americanised.

Hopefully this means he can get back to fighting sooner rather than later.

    Conor Jack McGregor Jr.

    8lbs 14oz.

The tabloids have a Live Update Ticker up on the baby like they do during terrorist attacks lol.

Why does wonder know about it is the more important question.

You're as concerned with wonder as he is with mcgregor ffs

He reads the thread more than wonder it seems, promises to unsubscribe for a few days due to the birth, ends up posting more..

Conors son has a fuarking instagram account? Jesus H Christ :( The character I was once a fan of is now nothing more than just another celebrity. Hope Diaz wins the trilogy, at least Diaz keeps it real.

Fairly common practice by literally anyone in the public eye lately all the faux shock and outrage is hilarious.

The people who insist on sucking Conor's bum regardless of what he does is hilarious.

So as a fan of Conor, do you or do you not think he has basically sold out? He was once witty and just having a laugh, now everything he seems to be doing is showing off and whoring himself out. I know he is trying to make bank but the reason he got so famous was because he was likable and people liked his playing around and having fun.

Its been a long time since I saw an interview with Conor where he isn't stiff and taking himself very serious. He used to be relaxed and witty, now he seems stiff and all his stuff seems rehearsed and he tries to hard.

Anyway, I am not a McGregor hater, I loved the guy when he first came out and liked him until recently. I am not a fan boy though, I am turning against him and I can see lots of others turning against him online. In saying that I'll still watch his next ppv and so will all the people who are starting to dislike him, so he wins either way. :p

Don't hate the player hate the game
Conor is a skilled fighter who got chances and financial opportunity that many fighters didn't get because of the persona he developed
All the monetisation is simply that.

Conor was getting all these opportunities before he turned turned so serious and stiff, the character that got him the chances is the guy who said things like "50 gs baby", calling Poirier "Peahead" etc.

I am aware that there is a certain section of his fanbase that will defend him to the death no matter what he does/says/act.

    No he wasnt
The fact that you think 50k is even relevant shows that fluky don't understand that there are many excellent mma fighters than never get paid
Conor played the game and got the money, he's still the same guy that wanted 50 g but he realised that there is lots more to be made and that you have to play the foil to get it
How much will also get for his next fight
    Ho much will frankie ?

The big market (USA) laps up the act he has been putting on the last year or 2, in the tmz age of celebrity they eat it all up makes his brand bigger over there.

Do they have a choice? The child will grow up well off anyway. They can share what pictures they want to of the baby or the camera men will be all over them looking for pictures for papers and that.

Conor got the Aldo fight before he started acting like that? He started acting like this after he beat Aldo, first thing that comes to my mins is when he came to the Alvarez press conference and Conor was visibly twitchy and dressed as 'El Chapo'. I am not debating that Conor isn't making money, but I am saying he has turned into a gimmick, a persona rather than the lovable rogue he once was.

Conor got to where he was because he was funny and because he knocked people out, Frankie is boring as a board and isn't a knockout artist. Conor will get fight plenty for his next fight because its a joke of a fight against a 41 year old boxer

Is my point exactly Conor is not acting himself like he once was, he is acting fake to build a brand and to make money. I agree, he is doing it to make his 'brand' bigger. The guy is making serious money, he just isn't all that likable anymore. I mean Floyd was never likable and he was making hundreds of millions a fight, so you dont need to be likable to make money.

there's a difference between being up his hole and not getting all hot and bothered because he made an instagram for his younglad. some lads on here could do with learning to tune out! Look I'm as big a fanboy as you'll find I'll be honest and next fight gets announced I'll be fully on board but as for all this tabloid nonsense, I can't see why anyone gives a monkeys..

Sorry I am saying that Mayweather will beat McGregor easily, I am not saying that Conor has any chance. What I mean is Conor getting a one sided beat down from Mayweather for money.

I don't think anyone is 'outraged' but people are entitled to point out the hypocrisy and how cynical it appears.

Conor said he didn't want the baby to have a celebrity lifestyle yet, within a day of his birth, Paradigm Management have an Instagram page ready to make money off the child.

Conor Sr. might be restricted in many ways by the UFC's Reebok deal but Conor Jr. sure as hell isn't. Cue a steady stream of product placements - nappies, clothes, shoes, bibs, cribs, strollers etc.

I can't speak for everyone else on this forum but if I was worth $50 million and just had a new baby, I'd be telling my management company to do one when they come suggesting a new Instagram page to make 6 figures from Baby Gap.

They make the fight I'll tune in and I'll be in conors corner(figuratively). Its a chance however slim at a historical moment and either way it would be cool to see.

I dunno just a lot of posters in this thread seem to be getting awful worked up over a lad making an instagram for his newborn. Non-public people regularly make ig accounts for their pets for christ sake its how social media works these days.

Also the baby gap angle is a bit speculative, no posts yet on the account, for all we know they're just registering the @ so someone doesnt make it and try sell it to them later down the road. Anyway if it does come to it and baby gap offer him 6 figures for a post who cares, he'd be a loon to turn it down, more power to him.

That's exactly it, if he's not fighting I'm not particularly interested he can do what he wants on social media as I don't follow any of it ........then you have the exact opposite of the so called 'fanboys' who follow his every move to pick holes, pretty sad really

Get paid handsomely and then move up to lightweight. He is talking like this to sell fights in fairness and it has worked, he is one of the biggest attractions in the UFC at the moment. Conors action on the mic puts bums on seats and makes him money. I don't think Conor is being fake but I think he is over exaggerating his personality to sell PPVS.

He is obviously joking with the whole G.O.A.T. on the bottle and stuff, does anyone actually believe that Conor thinks he is the GOAT?
    Yes.
Fair enough. I think a lot of his talking is just to sell fights and make as much money as possible though.

Before he fought Aldo you were defending his antics and saying it's just an act to make money
    Now apparently it isn't ?

What's wrong with being interested in him outside of the octagon? He's a worldwide celebrity as well as a sportsman.

It seems the only people I see moan about his personal life is people in this thread. People talking about conor mcgregor in a conor mcgregor thread...the horror.
