Bailly and Shaw potentially out now, to add to Smalling, Jones and Rojo........definitely going with triple captain for Sanchez next week now
After that performance? He in particular was abysmal. I may still do it but I have huge doubts. United could very well stick out a defence of Darmian, Blind, Carrick and Valencia and be perfectly solid the way Mourinho sets them up in these games.

It would take too much moving around and a big hit for me to get in Sanchez for the DGWs so instead I think I'm going to focus on DGW 37 and I'm looking out transferring out
Lukaku ---> Jesus (I'll do that this week)
Townsend ---> Sane/Pedro (not totally decided on that one) [I'll do that transfer next week]
King ---> Herrera (I will also make that transfer next week as -4 heading into a DGW isn't as much as a hit as it is in a single GW)

May well do the Lukaku - Jesus transfer myself, and the Townsend to Pedro/Sane looks a good move. But I wouldn't be transferring King to Herrera, especially for a -4

    King to Herrera is mental
    For a hit is insane
    Dont do it

Herrera has been getting freak returns for a DM recently. Buying him at all is mental. He will regress.

Selling King for him is a whole special level of DGW blinded mental. :)

And thats before it being a hit.

I am 2pts ahead in my money league. Squeaky bum time indeed. I have AOA and BB left, he has no chips left. I am planning on using BB GW37. AOA more than likely in GW38, I guess it makes more sense.

My plan for the DGW is to stock up on City and Chelsea players. Good idea or not? My current plan and team is below. Advice is greatly appreciated.

    Current team:

    Pickford - Foster
    Bavies - Ward(Bur) - Fernandez - Yoshida - FMori
    Tavies - Zaha - Hazard - Ozil - Alli
    Kane - Lukaku - Gabi

Plan for GW36 - Ozil and FMori out > Sane and Azpi in.
Plan for GW37 - Lukaku and Foster out > Costa and Willy in
    Plan for GW38 - TBC

I wouldn't stock up on Chelsea players if they have the league won by then imo

Lukaku out instead of Ozil who has 4 games in next two GWs and get Jesus?
Could "counter" Costa with double Chelsea defence the week after if race for title still on.

Could Capoue be the DGW hero/cheap enabler right under our noses?

I've owned him all season, it just seems like the kind of thing that would happen when finally everyone abandons ship. Or not :pac:

Oh and yes I just started my wildcard tinkering a few hours ago for the first time and cash is an issue...

    Could work for you.
I thought De Roon played well yesterday as an example of this type of player.
I think it's probably better to have someone from a team with something to play for.

What about Tom Carroll? He only has a single in GW37, but it's against Sunderland, and the Swans are desperate for points now. Watford have two tough fixtures imo.

I'm a firm believer in the good ship DGW, where miracles and legends are forged in the flames. Sure those flames could burn entire seasons to the ground, but still.

There's only one single GW player I'm considering because I'm a stubborn fool :D

I wonder who that might be?

Out of curiosity, does anyone think Batashuyai will be wortha punt once Chelsea win the league?

Not if Costa is in the hunt for the Golden boot

If Chelsea have the league won by gw38 there is no doubt conte will rotate ahead of FA cup final
It is a home game when they receive their trophy though so fair to assume they (Alonso/hazard/Pedro/costa etc )will get a run out

I also fear the same for Arsenal if they can't make top 4
I'd even be afraid cech would be rested
And then there is united of thwy havw Europa final just 3 days later .........
I'm very fearful of being left decimated on last day .......that's why I'm really considering keeping siggy at this point as long as Swansea win this weekend

Contemplating a -4 to transfer Pieters out for Gabriel for the double double gameweek......I know Mustafi is "two weeks away" but it's Arsenal, might be another 6 months.

This weekend has so much bearing on GW37-38
If Chelsea and Hull win, and Spurs and Swansea lose, there will be very little to play for for anyone.
I'm playing Siggy this week and really hope they can win.

Phil Jones back in full training ......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 674 ✭✭✭carnie

Out of interest how many double match players are you all looking to have for next week?

I was initially looking at 15 but I can't drop King and I'm also tempted to bring back Siggy.

I don't have BB but I'll be looking at 9/10
    Same 2 players

Oh didn't realise smalling was back too.........bailly is getting a rest soon
    Either Thursday or Sunday
He will not play both now

Any predictions on what kind of game time Darmian might get?

Early days yet but he might yet rival Payet and Andre Ayew as my worst signing of the season

He is now a mourinho favourite anyway so he will play the big games..........I'd say he will start Thursday night ....And then it depends how big a game Sunday is depending on result
He may well start it too
    And one in the double
Luke Shaw has been ruled out for season

I feel bad about breaking up the band but here goes WC draft 1

    Caballero, Jaku
    Gabriel, Stephens. McAuley, Alonso, Bavis,
    Siggy, King, Redmond/Capoue, Sanchez, Ali/Eriksen
    Jesus, Gabbi, Kane

Will probably drop Sanchez for Hazard next week

Is there any point holding onto Vardy? Yeah, Leicester's season is over but he's still getting goals.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

If you could upgrade Gabbi to Costa for a hit ahead of the 2 DGWs would u?

With the rumblings coming out of Southampton they are risky at the minute. Puel is a rotation manager anyhow. 4 games in 11 days will JRod, Long or even Austin get some mins. Tough fixtures.

    Costa (-4).... MID, wba, WAT
    Gabbi....... liv, ARS, mid, MUN

I could also do it next week for free. But I think Boro will have to go for a win vs Chelsea and could get caught for a hiding.

Looking at something like below for WC
    Cech/Pickford
    Azpi/Stephens/Holgate/Chambers/4.2 DEF
    Sane/Eriksen/Sanchez/Hazard/King
    Jesus/Kane/Gabbi

Leaves me with a strong front 8 for BB I reckon with King my one SGW player. Also 2 Goalies with DGW and 2 DEF. Holgate is a cheap enabler and Chambers will prob go so need 2 more cheap defenders.

My main issue is Gabbi, he frees up funds but Southampton seem to be on the beach and theres a good chance Puel with give JRod /Long games to prove they should stay for next season. Who do people reckon is the best cheap 3rd striker for the DGW? Had Rashford before WC but dont think he'll get the gametime
