you have a serious attitude problem, you can't pass up the opportunity to run down another persons pride and joy - Not that it matters what engine or car it is but to dismiss it as a 4 pot skoda is missing the point. It's a 4wd sleeper (a real sleeper not a 5 pot with a mangnaflow exhaust sleeper) with one of the best engines VW have ever made in it.

When you drive an alfa anything but an alfa is the business, when you drive the volvo it's all volvo. You are a young man so we can forgive the fickleness but if you are coming into this thread with bitterness looking for the first opportunity to run down a mans car then you are missing the whole point of this entire forum.

This is exactly why I can't stand this forum and so rarely post on it these days.

I said it's no doubt a nice car. I'm sure it's fast, comfortable and refined. I didn't "run" down his car, in fact I just find the price of it absolutely mad!

That's NOTHING against the poster, that's a comment relating to the PRICE of it. Can you read that?

I know you drive some 4 pot Audi so of course you're king of the road, but if you'd get down off your high horse there, I actually get on well with 90% of people on this forum.

Did you read that word? Yes this is a forum, where people have DIFFERENT opinions.

It no doubt is a sleeper, without question, but it's still €50k and in my "opinion" that is such a huge amount of money.

You're the one with the attitude problem here, Sir.

A total of 48 users (when posting) seem to agree with tossy. One of these days you're gonna have to ask yourself who the d1ckhead is. ;)

I have a 2012 1.8 tsi here with 60k on it in for a brand new engine thanks to their piston/oil ring fail (thankfully fixed in later models) chain and tensioner were not long for this world either when we dismantled it. Poor owner is facing a 4k plus bill :(

Where did they go wrong with chains even some BMW's have stretching chain problems. My e39 has a chain and no problems at all and afaik they were not known to give issues either. Where did BMW go wrong. Using cheaper metal was it?

My engine bay when I bought the car last year:

My engine bay now, with 4-2-1 manifold and ram/cold air intake. Painted the cam covers yesterday. Still needs a bit of tidying up.

    Cheers fellas,

Yeah Davy, the very colour. Problem I have now is that I didn't give a **** about the paint before so I didn't care where I parked, how I washed it or half driving through a hedge etc...
Now every little mark will show up, I am nearly afraid to wash it. There are worse problems to have I suppose. :)
