I know these things depreciate fast, but that is a stunning loss in value in 12 months.

    Cost over €190,000 new - Now €119,995.

Bag it for €110,000, 42% loss in 1 one year, or €80,000.

Do not forget, Mercedes gave a 10% discount across the board - that is €19 k so really only €60 k down from a new one. Tough though, but if the owner can't take the loss, perhaps he or she should have left it in the showroom.

Where the hell is the math coming from? 90%*190k - 119.9k = 51k.

    51k out of 171k is (only) 30%.

Cheap (I think) GT Turbo at €2200. Looks quite good

One of the cheapest MkV GTis I've seen for sale, long NCT too:

Very poor spec - doesn't even have a multifunction steering wheel or heated/leather seats.

Well it is an 08. Bluetooth was orange then and steering wheels were made of wood. Heated seats in Ireland? Sure when would you ever use them?!

Seriously though, is there any decent A5 coupe that's 1 not black 2 not **** and 3 affordable?

In my opinion it is very expensive for what is a very basic car thats nearly 10 years old. When I'm spending that sort of money on a car of that age I tend to want as much bang for my bucks as I can whether I actually need it or not. Even back in 2008 not having something as minimal as a multifunction steering wheel is pretty mean and sad in a premium car.

This one is better and a year younger:

Heated seats are fantastic on a cold winter morning especially if you've got leather seats.
I wouldn't have a car without them now.

I assume whoever bought that wasn't so worried about the loss, no doubt it's unlikely he/she bought it outright anyway

That'd be a large mortgage in Roscommon.

That would nearly buy Roscommon :P

Caddy with a strange sunroof. Leather, DSG and sat nav - someone went all out!

    Those sunroofs are very rare.

That would be a DSG box as well.

    Whats the point in them?

Vans with side windows are popular enough on the continent

The Kangoo (and the Renault 4, and probably the Extra) had an opening hatch that you could use for carrying awkward items. Pretty sure it was called a Giraffe hatch. I'd assume this would do a similar job.

Citroen Berlingo has a similar system, but it slides a bit like the sunroof on a Hyundai Coupe, except it's a solid panel and it slides forward.

I'd imagine the 2cv spoiled people in that respect :)

It's just weird because it's glass when it has no need to be. It would work just as well made of aluminium or whatever.

The also do it in the Caddy Life. Probably makes more sense in the car version.
Kudos to whoever specced that up! Would have been commercial jeep money I'd imagine.

My Dad ordered a DSG box on an otherwise very basic Caddy in 2006 - it took ages to be delivered. He hasn't been a fan of VW since

Not really, the red one has timing chain issues and doesn't look as tidy as the blue one. The blue one looks to be a well sorted car with a fsh.

Is it me or does the Satnav in the caddy look like it was pulled from a passat?
    I've the exact same one.

Don't take me up wrong way, not being smart but the sat nav of that era would have been the same across all VW models.

The DOE disc is for an 07 KY yet it is 07 ww on the plate. Shenanigans I wonder?

All out internally but couldn't finance alloys for the outside :pac:

    James bond indeed.:) :).

I can't believe he had the van for a while and thought the opening roof at the rear was a sunroof :(
