Some lad vaping in the tiny changing room.

Same fella cracking his toes. Sick

Also, same guy just hanging around in there. Like wandering around the tiny changing room, or sitting down chilling, waited a good 10 minutes before heading for a shower

I have one 'friend' who will use snapchat to pretend he is lifting heavy sh1t in the gym, so for example if someone is squatting a lot of weight he will go up to the bar during their rest period and take a pic of the weight with a caption such as " if your not going heavy go home"

    Are you serious? LOL.
If that was my mate I'd have to catch him out and hand him

****ers who leave TRX/Suspension Straps all knotted up or (worse) decide to take them apart, please stop.

I will have to bring my own at this rate.

People who get others to film them doing exercises for their Instagram annoy me as does seeing those types of videos.

Two lads walked into the gym yesterday wearing full on street-clothes. Tracksuit, zippy and caps. I wouldn't mind but it was bloody roasting and they never took off a single layer!

Jesus, does every post have to be giving out about what people are wearing to the gym? I thought this thread was about *annoying* things, not superficial ones...

Tried out a different gym a couple weeks bag, a different chain to my own, the place to be these days.

Walked in to the changing room to see two girls deep in discussion about their bikini competition posing. Giving each other advice about how best to flex whatever part.

I hate the current trend for it. It's just a another form of beauty pageant and has very little to do with health and fitness, since you're depleting your body so much. It's always great to see girls getting involved in the gym but I cringe when I see the posing.

Is it the posing that annoys you?
Or the very fact these girls are doing fitness modelling?

They're free to do as they choose but I do find the posing in the gym annoying. I've seen videos where class studios are used by girls practising their posing. I just don't think it's necessary to use the gym for that.

It sounded more like you were having a go at the existence of "another beauty pageant".
It's not my kind of thing btw, I just wouldn't hold my preferences against them.

Sure they don't have to do the posing in the gym. It its an obvious place to meet up for a gym related activity.
Same way people don't need to do stretching, or any other non-equipment activity in the gym. It's just an obvious place to do it.

I was in the gym sat, it was busy but didn't have trouble getting to use anything I wanted, couldn't find one annoying thing! One guy even helped me out the sound bastard!

Was he wearing a inappropriate hat or oversized head phones?

Superficial is often the most annoying of all...and people in stupid clothes also tend to be annoying.

I find it bizarre that people get annoyed at what someone else is wearing. It's literally nothing to do with you. They're not annoying you, you're being a judgemental busy-body.

It's the gym equivalent of some auld one peering out a gap in the curtains saying "You'll never guess what they're doing now!"

Is this not exactly what this thread is about.

Not at all. To continue the analogy, this thread is to complain about the neighbours pumping music at 3AM, having screaming matches on the street, and throwing rubbish into your garden. You know, things that actually affect you.

think the thread title says "annoying", not "things that actually affect you"

If you're going to play that card it also says behaviour.
    Not appearance, nationality, etc.

Indeed. Surely "annoying gym behaviour" would be an actual behaviour like say curling the the squat rack for no reason (to use the good old example), not "omg he's wearing a hat!", which really just makes one sound like a judgemental cúñt.

Forming a nasty opinion of someone doesn't mean they have annoyed you. Feeling contempt or scorn for someone minding their own business is not the same as being annoyed.

The thread exists to vent when someone is doing something that interferes with your use of the gym; it's not an excuse to act like a highschool bitch from a teen movie.

and if someone acts like a highschool bitch from a teen movie, does that interfere with you somehow? or is it just annoying?

Nobody has mentioned a hat in ages...you seem to be hung up on this one thing for whatever reason.

Did you once get slagged over a hat in the gym?

Sometimes when people are making a general point, they use a general example. It's a solid basis for conversation.

What do you find to be annoying behaviour in a GYM though..as opposed to this thread?
