Old men parading their balls in the dressing room. This would be very easily ignored if they didn't try to make conversation with you while getting changed.

Young men can be so uptight. Yes, I have balls! And so do you! And I don't really care what yours look like! Getting dressed under a towel makes sense on a mixed beach, but in a male dressing room?

I change jocks under a towel. I don't want a member of the same seeing my dick nor do I want to see theirs. It's just my choice. Why would it matter to you?

Just don't wear a hat when you're doing it :pac:

This really is the tiniest thing, but when almost all the treadmills are taken up by people walking on them. Like real slow with no elevation - just a straight 30 min walk.

Sure would you not just walk up and down the road? Walking has few of the problems of going for a run outside around Dublin City, At least you'd have fresh air instead of a stuffy gym.

I was reminded of one last night; people that cut corners.

Case in point during a circuit type class, we were running through a Mini Murf (sp?) type thing, it's not CrossFit, but the structure is similar.
The usual suspects were cutting reps so they could be first finished.

It used to really affect me during the class but I'm managed to tune out and just focus on my own efforts but when the 3 of them congregate around the rest who are still doing their reps and saying "that wasn't that bad", it definitely becomes an issue.

I'm in two minds on the naked thing. On one hand, it is not pleasant to have some auld lad waving his wanger around in your face needlessly; you're in a locker room, though, so feel free to get naked if you need to, but you've no need to stand around chatting or walking around the place.

On the other hand there are the usually young lads who do what I've heard described as the "British shuffle" - doing everything behind a towel, desperately afraid the world might catch a glimpse of their body. Your body, you're entitled to hide it if you want, but it really seems like a phobia to grow out of.

Mod note: again I'll ask, can we keep it light hearted. Can we stop sniping at others posts. Unless you can do it hilariously

Mod hat off. I honestly don't get the issue with nudity. Being naked is the most natural thing in the world.

But then, I have a pretty impressive set of testicles. They deserve to be paraded every now and then. They're glorious.

    See, hilarious.

I stand around chatting naked in the locker room. It's not a conscious descison. I just don't consider the fact I'm naked. I am entirely comfortable with nudity, it makes life easier. Maybe the glorious testicles help, but I was raised in a house where nudity was never an issue.

These people are free to express their never nude behaviours. Life is a rare tapestry of different beliefs and hang ups.

There's always the option of not looking at someone's crotchal area in a dressing room if their nakedness offends your sensibilities

That's far too sensible an option. Or sometimes an impossible option to take. What if a truly glorious set of testicles are on display? They tend to really draw the eye.

It's weird isn't it? One definitely hits a tipping point where you no longer gaf about such things.

I won't put them anywhere except your mind. If you ever see them, you won't be able to get them out of your head. Ever.

But you berated a poster earlier for getting annoyed about what others were wearing and here you are getting annoyed by what they're not wearing...?

There's a lad in my gym wears tights, like ballet tights, no shorts. So he can be naked and wearing annoying clothes at the same time.

All this weirdness about nudity in a changing room is a head-scratcher for me I have to say. I see chaps the odd time doing the under-towel changing thing and I am always astonished by it. It seems to be a recent phenomenon, the last decade maybe.

Look, everyone is thinking it, I'm going to say it.
Lads who get changed under towels have no willy.

Not annoyed in the slightest, just offering an opinion on the topic. A pretty balanced opinion as phrased, too, I think.

If I'm doing farmers walks with really heavy dumbbells in each hand it's normally a signal for every dope in my gym to walk into my path slowly. It's a dedicated area for walking lunges etc so nobody should be in there if they aren't working out. I feel like barging through the next person who does it.

We'll have a post tomorrow talking about some idiot walking around with dumbbells that are too heavy for him knocking into people and then not even using them :D.

My gym has a designated lunges area but people seem to just decide to do them wherever they want, past doorways etc. So annoying.

I find people doing farmers walks in the gym to be really annoying.

They expect the whole area to be kept aside for them to stagger up and down.
