Have to replace clutch in jeep, anyone got a rough idea what sort of money it'd cost & how long it'd be out of action (being a tough year financially)

TB test today. Was just looking at the cards and noticed the new bull was tested 3 times from April '15 to may '16. Hopefully he didn't run anything with him. It would drive the mother over the edge.

I came across this article about Trump and his actions compared to what his supporters expected. Thought it was interesting

What a morning. Vet due at 11.
Engineer arrived to take levels for the site- none of builders around so I went down and did it.
Neighbour called for beastings. Went defrosting apple sauce/ veg soup. (No talking to the mother)

Went over to him, heifer down- put out her vessel while calving. He wouldn't let her lick the calf for fear of her trying to stand. I gave him a shot of quick start to see would it get calf to suck the bottle. He mixed it with the beastings.
    Calf shivering.

Run back home to get calves in calving pen to be able test them handy.- tired from that.

Heifer starts calving so had to move the calves to a back up pen and heifer into calving pen.

Call from insurance co wanting to chat about insuring the car.

Digger driver wanting to do deal about top soil.

Everything ready on time....and no sign of vet and calf not arrived yet either

Bull calf.... another red Angus bull calf. 3 for 3 now. At least he's alive

The walk in wardrobe will be a grand job to store the boots and overalls, well thought out.

Ah fair play. Nice and close (but not to close) to the yard I hope.
Exciting and stressful times ahead I'm sure but you'll get there in the end.

You'll get a nice bit of sunshine there coming in the windows in the kitchen in the evenings.:)

But the 2 bedrooms at the front will get most of the sun during the day.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Lidl have DIY stuff on offer tomorrow. Im giving a vote for the LED worklamp. Great light like a small halogen with about 3hrs continuous runtime and 12v and mains charger.

Your better off alternating the distance than same distance and route.

They'll get it in the morning up till about 11 o'clock.
Our own house here is built on the very same orientation.
Even that bedroom beside the porch will be shaded a bit by the porch.
You get the most of the sun from the southwest during the whole year.
Even in midsummer at midday the sun is not directly overhead but slightly southwest.
Those windows at the side of the house and the double doors at the kitchen will be letting in the most direct sunshine during the day but the sun will be higher and not reach in as far in the rooms and then it swings around to the back after 3 o'clock in the summer.

Right Blue what colour do you think the kitchen should be?
I was thinking about a combination of orange and white.:)

Builder- I've no time to even think about direct labour. 130k with no plumbing as OH wants high speck plumbing.

Yeah the two windows at the front will get most light. Tried telling that to the architect but how and ever.

Site is 250mtrs to the mothers farm house and them another 75 beyond that is the yard.

I wanted to put in a mud room but will do that in the shed when the house is built.
Wanted to keep it simple to get funds together.

    Pure relieved to be starting.

Total build will be about 205k and house will be valued at 165k

I see the Journal has leased a beef/sheep farm for demonstration purposes in Offaly. 120 suckers and 120 ewes. Should be interesting.
