I do be lucky to come home with a few sterling coppers after a piss up in the U.K fair play to him.

That only shows us what he won. Could've lost twice as much

Nasty looking cut on his left hand too. Right on the knuckle. Hmmmm!

Possibly swollen too. Trying to compare the his right fist and there seems less definition around the knuckles.

Will we get to see that class again or did we see the peak:(

I watched the mendes fight again the other day and the atmosphere in that place I'd say was unreal.
I don't think we will see anything like that again.
That was McGregor mania at its highest.

    He will be back :)

Also the first shot he dropped eddie with had him out cold his eyes were in the back of his head it was a slip left again, well the first left grazed second dropped him. Eddie hit the deck and it looked like that woke him back up. Really was a masterclass. When he stuffed his second takedown eddies face is a face of someone who knows there ****ed.

This is a brilliant and complete breakdown of the Alvarez fight and one of the best I've ever seen.

Conor was playing 4D chess against Eddie's checkers. This video is superb, informative and will give people a new appreciation of how masterful a performance it really was. I must have watched the fight 30+ times and this breakdown points out things I completely missed (such as the right hook Conor threw in between the double left that dropped Eddie the first time).

It seems Dillon Danis McGregor lite attitude has got him suspended from the best BJJ gym in the world.

You've got to wonder what Conor thinks of these imitators.
In the recent MacLife video before the Conlon fight, he's walking into the fight and the sycophants around him are chanting and he seemingly has a half second of "what the **** are these lads doing" and realisation at the absurdity of it all and then snaps back into Conor McGregor TM mode.

Nice breakdown alright. A good level of detail. I enjoy listening to guys who spend the time to watch and re-watch these performances so closely. His voice though, it's tough to listen too, so monotone. Otherwise it's very good.

I've always felt that, the Aldo, Diaz and Alvarez fights just didn't have the same atmosphere .......the Mendez fight felt like he was breaking new ground, his first real challenge

We going there again are we? Ok, i'll bite

Conor was training for Aldo, not mendes, so you could say he had to totally change his game plan

Mendes just wasn't beat, he was destroyed, short camp or not he was still supposed to be one of the highest level wrestlers in the division, didn't do him much good

All this talk of mendes only having a short camp, is, IMO, bollocks, mendes and his team knew full well there was a high chance of Aldo pulling out and would have been preparing in the background, whie saying they had a short camp they couldn't lose

Who knows what a full camp for either would have odne,
but its fact Mendes was off hunting when he got the call, it was the middle of hunting season and he hadn't been near a gym for nearly two weeks it was well documented , I think the UFC even had trouble contacting him ,

UFC 189 was the perfect storm and remains my favourite UFC event of all-time. Fights were magical and got progressively better and the war between Robbie and Rory was a thing of beauty.

From an Irish perspective though, it was the last Conor fight that was somewhat reasonably priced, it didn't clash with any major football tournament, it was his first huge Vegas fight and it was his first tilt at a belt.

    It was the perfect storm.

Average Ticket Prices for Conor's last 5 fights:

UFC 205 New York, New York $971
UFC 202 Las Vegas, Nevada $747
UFC 196 Las Vegas, Nevada $738
UFC 194 Las Vegas, Nevada $600
UFC 189 Las Vegas, Nevada $502

A fight with Floyd Mayweather is not going to buck that trend lol. There won't be many "ole, ole's" ringing out with an average ticket price of $7,000 (Floyd v Manny had an average price of $6,200).

Another Conor wannabe, James Gallagher, - IMO he's even starting to sound like Conor. Adopting his accent! He's a young lad and I wish him well but Copying Conor to Such a degree is pathetic.
