I know what sort of "alternative accommodation" I'd like to arrange, for potentially endangering Emergency Services personel and wasting valuable resources!

Are you referring to this flight?

Where are you getting the engine failure from?

    Yep

They told DUB that. Not declaring an emergency at present though so mustn't be too bad.

Russian Air Force Tu-154 RA-85655 along the Florida coast now. I assume this is an Open Skies aircraft?

A bit of an unusual flightpath?

I read it's been doing a tour of the US and Canada for the last few days.

Just seen MT2718 Manchester to Las Vegas did a you turn back to MAN over the Irish sea and squawked the 7's on approach.

At the same, another flight from MAN (EXS051B) appeared to be heading to towards Knock and it too has turned around heading back towards MAN.

    Maybe just a coincidence?

That EXS callsign looks like a maintenance/flight-test number.

Lookd like the Manchester diversion I mentioned above was due to a suspected fuel leak

I see Cobalt have returned with their seasonal Larnaca flight to Dublin CO682 . Although today it seems to be running about 8 hours late, according to Flight radar anyway.

Bird Strike by EIN393 at TDZ. Rescue vehicle was blocking runway retrieving the carcass, all normal now.

EDIT: Peter got there before me ;)

I wouldn't have known only BAW834 made a bit of a racket going over my place (I thought they'd switched to 10!).

This might be a silly question but would that have had to make a stop En route from Seattle to Dublin?

Nope. With no passengers and cargo it can do it easily on one tank.

Thanks for that. Thought that was probably the case alright.

Plenty more of them on the way aswell.

Going from the latest Boeing production figures (March), there're approx 75 737-800s still to come before Ryanair start getting their 100 737 MAX 200s.

EI-FZL brings the current fleet to 388.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    Good grief.

I can hear it now "How many 737s do you want?"

    "All of them"
