Dermot and Dave...I really like them. But please no....not more Irishisims!!!!!! I'm sick of it. It's so played to death at this stage not only by them but every other presenter. It's a filler at best and lazy lazy radio.IMO this slot is just not working-it's just too early and at least 30 minutes too long.

I'm loving the show the last few weeks it was weird hearing them at that time for a while but its back to its best now.

I have nothing to listen once mid-day hits though.

    Claire McKenna filled in Today

    Whats her background?

Went to the lads' show in Killarney on Thursday night.

Overall enjoyed it. It's just like listening to one of their radio shows except they're right in front of you. Had a few little video sketches in between things too which were good.

Laughed along through most of the show, predictable jokes but still the kind of stuff that I found funny.

I think she co=presented the spin1038 talk show about 10 years ago

I thought she was a very random, inoffensive filler so much so that I went back to Prendeville for the first time in months.

They also had another nobody filling in on early breakfast.

It really doesn't bode well for Today FMs strength in depth, with atrocious first choice presenters like Porter and Darcy and basically no one waiting in the wings to come in I can't see things getting better anytime soon in Marconi house.

Claire and Jonathan McCrea presented Spin talk for about 10 years up to 3 years ago has been with Today ever since in a producer/on-air role. Mostly on early brekkie and weekends.

Its much better option than Alison Curtis, with that whiny nasally voice of hers....Bland to a tee....boring us with her tales of her having a kid and mentioning her twitter account every 2 minutes

So D&D have had a while with the new show now, whats the verdict?

Not a fan of all the filler they have added to the show...music has taken a turn for the worse too. The lads do what they do well...have a laugh and a bit of craic with the listeners. But forcing them into a show with pointless bullsh1t interviews like "why are Irish people bad with money" and "how close are we to a worldwide health pandemic" is going to do Today FM no favours...wouldn't be surprised to see a big drop in the first representative JNLR's from what Anton had before he left...given they had 115,000 or thereabouts at lunchtime it could be a significant drop...

I don't think they're suited to the more serious kind of interviews. I think those sort of interviews are more suited to an individual, rather than a duo. However, I love the show. They're great to listen to, and I enjoy the regular features.

I like them and enjoyed listening to them but I switched to Q102 in work because of how bad the music is on that channel, its the same songs all day long and they are terrible.

Its a long ways from the Ray D'Arcy hey day when he regularly played these kinda songs

Who remembers his "When DJ's need a wee song"?

Music has really taking a turn for the worst across the board on Today FM.

Ya me too. He was a crank towards the end but the songs above just show how varied his show was musically

The only person I've ever met who's an Anthony and the Johnsons fan. The listeners certainly weren't fans that day

Get to listen to the show the odd time, so I can't comment too much. But with extra serious issues being added in, this really takes away from the D&D brand. At the start, it was obvious management wanted to pivot from the darcy/savage format, and that's why I thought Neil Delamare wouldn't suit. But now, they've just gone back to the old format with some humour added - perfect for Delamare! His show is quite good on a Sunday if you ever get the chance to listen in

Yes but dont forget the Mumford and Sons and Paulo Nuitini obsession. So for every Anthony and the Johnsons there was also a Paulo Nuitini.

Although I must admit, I think he was the only day-time radio DJ ever to play the whole 8 minutes plus of I am the Resurrection.

Listened to bits and pieces of Dermot and Dave this week again, cant warm to them at all. The music and content are poor and their humour grates with me. And is it in their contracts that they have to say 'check out the hilarious video on the D&D show section of todayfm.com' at least twice an hour.

I remember Paula used to cover for Dermot and Dave, she doesn't seem to do any covering when the main presenters are off any more.

your saying that as if its a bad thing....im sure no one wants to hear her blabbing on how she's engaged for 3hours

I think they still seem very uncomfortable in that time slot. Constant pushing of their tour is wearing thin too.

I really like muireann, she is lost in the weekend shows. I prefer her to d&d. Think her show works much better than theirs.
