I really like muireann, she is lost in the weekend shows. I prefer her to d&d. Think her show works much better than theirs.

I'd gladly take her in place of Porter.

She's ok...seems a nice girl but her accent!!! Where did she buy that!!??
There is such an American twang to it...I honestly used to think she was American until I realised she's from Limerick.

I dunno but I find her voice very attractive. Actually since I've seen her on the TV I think she's become very easy on the eye too, which I wouldn't always have thought.

Muireann should have been kept in the 12-2:30 slot, and that gombeen that's currently there put on some weekend slot.

Incidently, I could have sworn that I heard Fergal saying that he'd be off next week (again), and Muireann would be filling in. Maybe I heard wrong! But, that's for another topic, perhaps.

I'm still trying to figure out what the ABC Don't is. Hopefully someone will get it soon!

This slot is, without doubt, the stupidest quiz I've ever heard on the radio. I never don't change channel.

My head hurts reading this. Do you, or do you not change channel :pac:

    It's a perfectly unambiguous sentence. :)

I remember Paula used to cover for Dermot and Dave, she doesn't seem to do any covering when the main presenters are off any more.

    We spoke too soon

Is she covering al? She was on this morning also

I'd say she was the only person they could put on in Als absence

It's not Paula covering. Well wasn't when I switched on for 5 minutes then turned off when I realised it wasn't D&D. Didn't catch her name but not Paula or Muireann.

Edit: I see your talking about Porter's show. Carry on

These guys take more time off than the bus drivers.

Can't see how they can expect the show to gain any momentum (and I reckon its not) when they're off so regularly and the fill-ins are so "meh".

Listened today.. first time in a long time..I lasted maybe 10 minutes..They talked about their live show..A lot, replayed something from last week show, discussed the replay and how it happened ,explained why they took holidays last week (school holidays) , discussed Dermot and his obvious hyprocondria and laughed at each other.......Utter garbage........I've clearly missed nothing

Has anybody been to their live show? Review?

They don't start off their show with the same gusto as they used to.. it's a bit "ya hi you're listening to Dermot and Dave".. I'm not sure they're happy and it translates.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,546 ✭✭✭johnire

I agree. IMO this time slot just isn't working for them. It certainly isn't for me! It's just too early and three hours is way too long. It's such a pity as I really do like them both but I think they're really struggling.

they do seem to mention their comedy tour an awful lot. Do today fm have some financial benefit from it ? Can't see why else they get away with such self promotion !!

Went to the Kilkenny show, really enjoyed it. If you like the show you'll enjoy if you just prefer bitching about them on here then its not going to change your opinion of them.

I have a friend in Limerick who works with some guys promoting live events and they said a lot of the gigs aren't selling and that's why they are plugging it so much on the radio. Then they are making up the numbers with free tickets for listeners.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,005 ✭✭✭✭Toto Wolfcastle

It's a pretty big tour and although I really enjoy their show, I'm not sure why they thought they could sell all those tickets. I was interested in going to their Dublin gig but the tickets are too expensive for what it is.
