Ah ok. I have two of the one plus plugs, it's a new cable I need.

I also got a cable in the Chinese phone shop on moore street when I bought the charger. It is just a standard USB type C cable. It works fine.

I was looking at one from one of the stalls in Sligo but they didn't look to kosher and I had been reading an article specifically about the damage that non legit Type C chargers could cause the day before.

Did you try the standard reset, delete the app and reinstall and all that stuff?

I had this issue after applying the most recent update OnePlus2Oxygen_14_1612271635, and the solution for me was to downgrade to the previous version: https://s3.amazonaws.com/oneplussupport/flash/Flashing+guide+for+OnePlus+2-+Downgrading+from+3.5.5+to+3.1.0.pdf

Battery completely shot after latest update. Very slow to charge and runs down abnormally quickly!!!

Getting a weird issue lately. Sometimes when I leave WIFI my phone won't switch to data and I'll have to manually go in to the settings and switch it on. Anyone else having this issue?

I updated my OP2 the other day and ever since some of my apps won't work, when I tap them a box pops up saying "allow xxxxxxx to access this device's location?"
I get 2 options, deny or allow but no matter what i tap it takes me to another screen that says "draw over other apps" and a list of about 15 apps are below but none of them are the app I want to use. There's an arrow to go back at the top left of the screen but when i tap that i get taken back to my full list of apps.
Doing my head in, would anyone know what the problem is and how i could solve it please?

Do you use twilight or a similar app that changes the overlay of the screen? Like puts a certain tint on it? You need to deactivate that sometimes to select functions.

I got a notification from One Plus. It downloaded and installed with no problems.

Anyone here put Lineage OS on their phone? Thoughts on it? Would you recommend it?

Yep, did it yesterday after I got fed up with the absolute snails pace of app switching after the latest update.

Impressed with Lineage OS so far, but the mucho tweaking of the notifications takes a bit of getting used to. Battery life is pretty good (so far, probably too soon to tell) and all my apps worked as before.

I had to do a little prep work, such as unlinking the phone from my N26 account and the like, and backing up some configs to Google Drive, but the upgrade was straightforward.

It does seem to take a really long time to boot, the first time - somewhere in the region of about 3 minutes, but subsequent restarts are quick

Is there any instructions how you do this. I've not been able to update my phone since buying it new from a third party website. Disaster.

Nice, can you link what guide you followed?

Any update on how battery life is? Screen on time?

    Thanks

I have not installed it or installed custom ROM's for a long time but I used to do it all the time in the past and I'd say it is still the same.

Install TWRP and then transfer the ROM to device and then boot into TWRP and install the ROM. Simple.

This will help. Also, oneplus2 has driver install on the phone when connected to pc. It is one of the easier ones to configure.

Any one have trouble connecting phone to car via Bluetooth. Had no trouble for years until 2 weeks ago. Now I I get asked "does this passkey 846164 match the passkey on one plus 2" . It's a different passkey each time that the car gives me but I've no way of entering a passkey on the phone? Would a factory reset work?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,387 ✭✭✭✭Jayop

Has anyone had any luck replacing the screen in one of these? My wife just smashed hers.

Does anyone have issues with international data roaming with oneplus two?
In Spain in February I got a local Lebara sim and the data worked fine for two days and then just stopped. This time in Italy roaming on my 48months sim and again the data stopped after two days. I'm beginning to think the phone itself may be the problem. Phone calls work fine and on the GUIDO plan with 650MB+ still available.

I just got an oxygen update that had some 4g bug issue so that might solve it. I know when I went up north a while ago when I got back to Sligo I had trouble getting any network for a few minutes. Had to do a couple of reboots.
