Did anyone ever make the big mistake of sending the wrong card with a dead animal, tag wasnt checked by knackery either so wrong animal came off the cmms system? The actual tag number ended in 2 but I thought it was 7. Tag was dirty

Before I went away the other day I had a blue card in my hand to give to a lad for a calf. It disappeared, after spending half an hour looking for it retracing my steps. OH just came back from a lorry run and I asked him did he see it. He put it on top of one of the presses in the kitchen in case it got lost:rolleyes: Now the presses are about 3 foot higher than me so I'd never see it there

it would be very easy find a tidy one too, I'd say the toughest work a lot of them in dublin have seen is dropping the kids to school

I'm not so sure with the likes of the ifj and agriland publishing articles on every one of these tragic events. There's a pop up notification on my phone when they've any major news which includes nearly every single tragedy. Nearly seems like they're just trying to capitalise on a family's loss.

There's always a sheep crook in the jeep....great for pulling stuff out of the crew cab, as well as catching sheep of course.
Tell th'ould fella to buy a discovery.....there's no drawbars on hearses.
You can make sure his discovery doesn't seize from lack of use.
Crook is a good idea alright . The ould fella got rid of his jeep a few years ago because I am doing all the cattle trailer work anyhow . He is looking at a Megane estate now but I don't think he will keep something like that long , he has an xtrail now and it's the easiest car I've ever gotten in and out of

I see the price of posting BVD samples is gone up to €1.65. You'd want to make sure you have enough of them in the envelope.
Rip off Ireland is still alive and well!

Normal postage stamps are €1?? As in just for a regular 'letter' ? That is steep! I suppose the number of people actually posting anything nowadays is minimal enough though and that is possibly one reason for the increase.

The piece from UCD on BWOTF was very interesting. The micro organisms on the wild barley used to half the artificial fertiliser need of commercial crop.
Tech can be used on many types of crops. That would be a game changer.

    Not really new tech though.
If they can grow and coat the seed commercially with the bacteria it might.
There's big research and bacteria commercially for sale in India.

Bacteria that provide popular trees with nitrogen for growth was found on the bark and trunk of popular trees years ago.
So now you know why popular trees grow so fast.:D

Just an update, there are two people in our house with the same name, the letter doesn't specify which one it is as they don't use pps numbers on the register.

Did he specify if he was on duty or not? If he said he does it while off duty fair enough but he didn't.
