Had Costa captain plans for the last fortnight but have chickened out and not bought him without confirmation he'll play 90mins.

    Lining out:

Question mark on GKs until the morning

    Forster/Jaku

    Alonso-Vertonghen-Pieters

    Alexis-Alli-King-Mane

    Aguero(C)-'Big Handome'-Andy Carroll-Lukaku

    Bench:
Forster/Jaku, 'Little Handsome' Tom Carroll, Evans, Holgate,

WC active, against my best intentions.

    DDG
    Alonso Davies Bertrand
    Sanchez Alli Redmond Zaha
    Costa Lukaku Vardy (c)

    Pickford, Fabio, De Roon, Holgate

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,508 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

    0/1 FT.

    Pickford.
    Mee, Pieters, Alonso(c).
    Grosicki, Siggy, Mane, Coutinho.
    Aguero, Costa, Lukaku.

    (Grant, DeRoon, McAuley, Amat).

Late decision on FT of Coutinho -> Alli, probably leave it in the lap of the 'wake up in time' gods. May change Alonso(c) as well, though like to do this sort of thing once a season. Grosicki in last chance saloon for the 3rd week running.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,264 ✭✭✭✭manual_man

    Pickford
    Fernández Alonso Berty
    Mané Siggy(C) King Coutinho Sané
    Costa Lukaku

    Sanchez Mane Siggy Alli
    Costa Lukaku Llorente

Undecided on (c) but currently on Mane.

    Jaku
    Walker Alonso(c) Britos

    -4

    Brunt first sub.
It's sure to be an interesting week with so much variation in captains.

    On a -4...

    Pickford
    Brunt/Valencia/Pieters
    Mane/Sanchez/Siggy/Sterling
    Costa/Lukaku/Negredo

Still unsure over who to captain. Ite between Costa and Sanchez. And Mane. And Lukaku. And Siggy.

    Randolph

    Alonso Yoshida Daniels Davies

    Alli Mane Siggy

    Vardy (c) Lukaku Llorente

    Foster Capoue Lowton Phillips

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,042 ✭✭✭remoteboy

Not sure who to drop from my front 8

    Siggy Mané King Alli Sterling
    Llorente Lukaku Costa

King is the obvious choice but he's in such good form right now. Wish I still had my AOA chip. And as for a captain who knows? FFFix says Mané. No chance mate. Been burned before. Thinking Siggy. Or bring in Kun for Costa for a -4 and stick the armband on him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,976 ✭✭✭Trimm Trabb

    De Gea

    Valencia Walker Yoshida

    Siggy (vc) Alli Mane Coutinho

    Costa (c) Llorente Lukaku

    Subs: Tom Carroll, Robertson, Baines

Few close calls for selection but this is what I've got at the moment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,714 ✭✭✭Cartman78

    -4 as usual....

    Heaton

    Brunt Azpi Vertonghen

    Mané (C) Alli Ayew Siggy

    Carroll Costa Lukaku

    Subs: Foster Barkley Smith Amat

Still not 100% on Brunt ahead of Smith....would be handy if he rediscovered some of his attacking prowess this weekend.

It's all down to Ayew really....yes...I'm that desperate :-)

If I bring in Kun I'll bench sterling but feel like I need City cover as Arsenal have Ospina in nets. Who are you captaining?

    Siggy at the moment
Brought in vardy with intention of captaining him but just don't trust him enough
Siggy almost guarantees a minimum of an assist at home and any points always gain him bonus too
He loves bonus and I love him
    :D

    Wildcard used.

    De Gea
    Alonso, Valencia, Davies
    Sanchez, Mane, Alli, Siggy
    Vardy (c), Lukaku, Deeney

    Pickford, Tom Carroll, Holgate, Chambers

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

Alexis Alli Mane Mahrez (c) Redmond

    Jaku
    Alonso, mcauley, Rojo
    Siggy, mané, ali, Eriksen
    Vardy, kaku, llorente

I have King on the bench but I'm not sure who to swap him with.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

    Jakupovic
    Alonso - Robertson - pieters
    San(c)hez - mane - alli - siggy
Llorente - lukaku - aguero (vc)

Heaton - mc cauley - fletcher - funes mori

Banked transfer as I want to try get ibra back in and it may require 3 transfers so having 2ft will help. Also want to see if Holgate comes in as cheap replacement for funes mori.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 411 ✭✭Delboy2015

    Jaku

    Valencia Brunt Alonso

    Mané Siggy King Sánchez

    Llorente Lukaku (C)osta

    Pickford Lanzini FM Amat

Brunt needs to go soon, its been good. Should i be playing Lanzini?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 833 ✭✭✭SkySter

    Coleman to Valencia
    Mane to Alli - 4

    Pickford
    Alonso Valencia Fernandez
    Alli Siggy(c) King Firmino

I went with my gut and swapped king for llorente plus there was some chatter on FFS about his fitness.. I hope he doesn't April fool me

For me, I'd bench one of your Spurs players - IF Spurs don't score, you've (maybe) 4 points between 2 players (6 if Spurs keep a cleanie, assuming no yellow cards). I generally avoid doubling up on attackers or defenders from the same club to avoid scenarios like that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭Mike Ehrmantraut

    Pickford
    Alonso Davies Pieters
    Sanchez Mane(c) Pedro Siggy King
    Aguero Lukaku

    Heaton Llorente Holgate Pva

Mane gets the armband, it could have been any number of them.
Heaton gets a well earned rest, and Llorente drops to the bench.
Always nervy of having captain playing in the early game, not out of superstition, more that if he doesn't score, the nerves are frayed for the rest of the weekend

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,170 ✭✭✭pimpmyhat

    Schmeichel

    Alonso/Valencia/Mawson.

    Alli/siggy(c)/lanzini/king/coutinho

    Aguero/lukaku

    Jaku/walker/a Carroll/pva(injured)

I hear what you're saying but I can't decide who to bench. They seem to take it in turns to out perform each other

Need to bench 1 from below. Any suggestions?

    Mane Siggy King Alli Lanzini

    Costa Carroll Lukaku

We have similar teams Im playing lanzini and benching a Carroll.
I'm going with the theory that one west ham player is enough and a lot goes through lanzini since payet left

Yeah i somewhat agree. I have Lanzini on the bench at the moment but i kind of fear not starting him more than Carroll.

Wow. Tough choices to be made this GW.

Again Heaton (Spurs H) or Randolph (WH a) and Holebas (Sun H) or McAuley (MU a).
Leaning towards Randolph for the first one. And if the second one should be a no braine, the thing is the last time Holebas did return something for me feels like the dinosaurs were still around  :pac:...

But most importantly, it's the captain. I have plenty decent options but I see no great ones.
Mané, Pedro, Alli, Siggy, Lukaku or Agüero....

Oh and Llorente benched doesn't feel great but don't see who he could replace... Lanzini maybe?

    So.

    Randoplph
    Alonso Valencia Holebas
    Mané Pedro Alli Siggy Lanzini
    Lukaku Agüero
    Heaton ; Llorente, McAuley, Chambers

    - edit -

Not sure what I'll be ending up with in the end. FPL site did not (and still doesn't) show the "game being updated" page. Just freezing back on the "my team" page. From what I remember that generally means changes aren't taken into account.
So finally put the armband on Siggy and later changed it to Mané after seeing extra gravy post. Also did a late GK switch when I realised I had not changed them...

Holgate, Pennington, Calvert supposed to be starting for Everton...will leave (c) on Mané now.

    Jaysus
    They do all start
That's an awful Everton team and makes me wonder about lukaku long term
Holgate wing back is very interesting
Will probably downgrade brunt to him next weekend

Hedging my bets a little by not captaining Mane but benching Baines

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

LFC: Mignolet, Clyne, Matip, Lovern, Milner, Lucas, Can, Wijnaldum, Mane, Coutinho, Firmino

Subs: Karius, Klavan, Moreno, TAA, Grujic, Woodburn, Origi

EFC: Robles, Holgate, Jagielka, Williams, Pennington, Davies, Gueye, Barkley, Baines, Calvert-Lewin, Lukaku

    Pickford
    Mawson, Bertrand, Valencia
    Alli, Sigurdsson, Firmino, Sanchez
    Llorente, Lukaku, Vardy (c)

    Heaton, Brunt, Pieters, Antonio

-4. Probably should have played the wildcard this week, but I think I'm in okay shape apart from triple Swansea. How did that happen?

    Valdez (Caballero)
    Alonso Bavies Valencia (Cedric Randall)
    Mane Sane Pedro Tadic Alli
    Kun (c) Carroll (J Benteke)

    WC played.

    Randolph
    Bertrand Luiz Mee
    Sanchez Mané Sané (c) King
    Llorente Lukaku Costa

    Subs: De Roon Nyom Chambers

    No hits.

Will get Alli in next week. Burnley are a bítch to play against at home so I wasn't going to do -4 for any Spurs players. Though now Spurs will undoubtedly score 5.

I should've probably brought in Valencia, but sure.

Top 5 in my ml - 5 different captains. Haven't seen that in a while. And none of them have the same captain as me which is a bit worrying :pac:
