Happened to me twice now since new update. Stitched over to Tesla rom 7.1 to see how that goes. I'm fussy but I got used to Ann alarm that will snooze on shake and the stock clock had our there.

For those that had success getting a new charger cable... Mine has become very unreliable. So I opened a ticket and they just said that they don't replace them. Pretty crap customer service. Have the phone and cable less than a year. Were those who got new ones just offered one on the spot or take it further? Thanks

Yet again my OnePlus 2 has let me down.

Last week or so my charger just falls out of the phone, it doesn't really go in all the way so it's been a pain to charge, it's not dirty or anything I can't really see what the problem is but then yesterday I woke up to find my home button fried itself over night and is now completely unresponsive.

    Ugh.

I'm having the charger issue as well. Very annoying. I thought it was just my cables.

I had the same issue, it was due to compacted lint in the phone socket, it is not obvious and I removed it with a fine sharp piece if plastic (I broke some plastic cutlery to fashion a tool) I have used a toothpick since effectively, again similarly had to break it to make it slimmer.
My socket looked clean too but it was unbelievable how much lint was in their and worked like new afterwards.

Edit: no idea about the home button frying though

Interesting. Must make myself a doohickey tool so!

Having the same issue with the cable being too loose and basically falling out. It's happening to much to be just unlucky. It has to be a design flaw, the oneplus 3 I have is much more solid and tighter. I tried the lint cleaning but it didn't really fix it.

I got a new cable a few months back, took a week or so emailing back and forth., they wanted pictures of it and everything. The new cable has a new reinforced section near the connection that goes into the phone. So they must know the original cables are not great.

I was in Dublin last week unexpectedly and had no charger so I went to one of the Chinese phone shops on Moore street and got a Samsung 2 Amp charger and a usb type c cable and it worked perfectly with my OnePlus 2.

I also updated to the newest update recently. Took me so long to update as my reasoning was if it aint broke don't try to fix it.

Battery longevity and camera quality/stability seem far superior on latest official ROM. Tesla ROM is great but Camera is unstable. From reading various posts, I think this is a problem with all Oneplus 2 not releasing coding data related to their camera (or something like that).

I think the problem with the alarm not going off is the ROMs Doze mode. From what I gather the doze mode is putting the alarm to sleep. It can be disabled via developer in settings. Have switched it off to see if it fixes.

My WiFi keeps dropping on my oneplus two. It's not my router. Anyone one else the same.

So in the past five days my battery has gone to pot. From full charge to 8% in about 4 hours.

i haven't downloaded any new apps that might be draining it.

I did check the battery in settings and it is saying that Google Services are the biggest drains running at about 27%.

I have turned location services off and have Bluetooth always on as I have a smart watch.

Running latest version following recent update!

    Anybody else having battery issues.

So I found this solution on the OP forums and I had over 2GB of data. Have cleared data so hopefully it might be sorted!

Anyone else having problems of data drop outs?

Have to constantly flick aeroplane mode on and off to get data working again. Pain in the hole.

I had an issue where my home button went dead..

Finally found a solution, dont know why it worked , but it did...

Try going into developer options if you dont know how to do so scroll down a bit but in Developer Options
-Scroll down until you find the options for animation scales.
-Try setting them to 1.5x and then immediately back to one.
To get into developer options go into settings
-Go to settings and go all the way down until you see "About Phone".
-Scroll down to Build Number and tap on it until it gives you a message saying "You are now a developer"
    -Go back.
-Now above "About Phone" You Should see "Developer options"
    -Follow Steps Above.

Anyone recommend a car mount suitable for these that's deep enough for an Otterbox case?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,889 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

Think this is the one i have. Works perfectly with the Otterbox case.
I use the air vent mount.

Notice my phone is really slow charging some times, it even loses charge when it's plugged in. I went into the battery settings and it was showing up it was charging over USB and not over the mains as it was. I plugged it back out and back in again and then it came up it was charging over AC so it was charging fast again. Every second time I plug it in now it's saying charging over USB so I have to plug it out and in again to get it back to AC. Anyone experienced anything like this?

Yeah when slow charging I had to get a new plug. When I started losing the connection I had to get a new cable. Sorted the issues out.

Thanks, I got a new cable recently enough from oneplus for free, did you get the charger for free or did you buy it.

No, but I'll check and I bet once I do I'll have the same problem because sometimes the charging is much slower than other times. Today I had it in for 2 hours without touching it from 7% and it only went to 57%.

You do not need a type c charger it's the cable that is type c.

I recently got a second charger in moore street in Dublin when I was up there and forgot my own charger. It was a 2 Amp Samsung charger.
