Not just to the Cliff house but the article gives a big nod to the South east in general for 'staycations' as they put it.

Love to see visitor numbers reflect what we really have to offer rather than the west and the Wild Atlantic Way getting all the plaudits.

Fair play to Mary Frances Ryan for article in n&s about local amish menonite community, really interesting and informative.just normal people from a close community with a strong faith.part 2 next week.

Credit to AA Roadwatch, who always include Waterford in their city traffic reports, even if it's moving freely all around. So many organisations only refer to Creedon's cities.

Likewise, hats off to Daft.ie for the same reason.

She is an extremely capable and talented editor. The News and Star has never been as relevant or ground breaking to read as it has under her watch.

Yes he is also good. He can be a bit narrow minded though when it comes to attacking the health service. We all know trolleys, cardiac care etc is needed but he focusses practically his attention and wrath on the Minister, a chap barely out of school who inherited a poisoned chalice of bloated top-heavy management and incompetent procedures. Theres a reason why all the previous ministers couldn't make HSE change, its bigger than just one person.

you d have to wonder if our health service will ever be reformed, its disturbing to watch it slowly deteriorate

Everything I hear about this place and the chap running the show (reynier) looks like shaping up to be some serious high quality product and a major asset to Waterford, hopefully visitor centre won't be to far away once they start selling.
Plus, we'll have the best whiskey and beer in the country.

WCCC is going to take over Mount Congreve. This is good news and the best way that its potential as a tourist attraction can be maximised. It’s an incredible garden and a priceless asset to Waterford.

Credit to momos, Davy Macs and others representing Waterford well...something that in general in Ireland could be improved, customer service..anyway, these few obviously doing it well.

I thought the food in Bay Tree Bistro was lovely but having read a few reviews of the place on TripAdvisor I was left with am impression that the head chef is an extremely thin skinned chap. The merest HINT of criticism and he replies in a very insulting and childish manner like a teenager throwing a strop-unprofessional to say the least.

Must check place and chefs responses out...my little reading of things like that are generally stupid complaints about the food, the chef knows bit more than most so I'm happy to see him challenge.complaints about time/service a bit different..e.g. hard to argue food not late if you were waitingfor long time.
