Arcturus is right. Found by following the "arc" of the handle of the plough downward until you meet the next brightest star.

Interesting. In Harry Potter Sirius' brother has the middle name Arcturus.

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 16,287 Mod ✭✭✭✭quickbeam

And his first name is Regulus, a bright star in Leo.

Not sure if its my turn as I only got 1/2 a question correct but we seem to be at a stand still.

What is the difference between an atomic bomb and a hydrogen bomb?

Bonus Qn: What bomb is known as the most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated?

Atomic is fission and Hydrogen is fusion.

    The Russian Tsar Bomb.

I'm tempted to say no and concoct something else but, no, you are, of course,
    correct.

    They're all people I don't know.

It's not an exhaustive list. I can add more names that might help??

Adding more people I never heard of won't help me, I'm afraid. :)

Based on two of them I'm going to say characters played by Tom Cruise
Joel Goodson - Risky Business and John Anderton - Minority Report. No idea of the other characters if I'm right.

You might know some of those i add..... I didn't want to make it too easy to start with :)

    Yep! That's it.

    Joel Goodson - Risky Business
    Brian Flanagan - Cocktail
William Harford - Eyes Wide Shut
    Frank Mackey - Magnolia
    John Anderton - Minority Report

I was going to add Joseph Donelly (Far And Away) next. Then Les Grossman (Tropic Thunder) probably would have given it away.

    Well done Orion!

No, even the answers mean nothing to me. Cinema is my greatest weak spot.

Sorry completely forgot to come back to this. I'm exhausted right now so let's have a local question and it's a 3-parter.

What was the first post on boards.ie? Who posted it (his normal nick not the one that actually posted it) and what's his real name?

Ah now Rube, don't be hard on yourself. I am not only a mod but one who has seen that first post not all that long ago. But this is O&O and the aul memory isn't all it used to be. (Well in all honesty it was never that great :D ) I think Ted might be on the right lines there, but I really cannot recall!

I'll accept the poster and real name. Nobody would know the post without looking it up.

Clue: Boards has two daddies. It wasn't Dev.

In the spirit of the thread someone post another question too. I thought considering most posters here are of a certain vintage this would be a bit easier.
