I have noticed the wifi issue as-well as regards bar strength. I just tried 5ghz and the switch is like 4-5 meters (Air with no obsticles) away only getting half strength sometimes full.

I'd say try them out first. I am having no issues with the Joycon so far, I adjusted pretty fast to them and have been using them about 5 hours now.

I've seen other people say when they changed it to 2.4ghz it was a lot better. Might be worth a try.

Yes, it comes with a USB C cable.

Wait, what? I looked 3 times and didn't find a USB cable. Am i stupid. I didn't see it shown on the packaging either so just assumed there wasn't one.

In the box I go there was no separate USB type C cable!? There is of course one attached to the power supply!

Couldn't resist, was over by Smyths in LV. They only had the grey. But I just couldn't help myself. Lol. Will prob pick up two red joy cons eventually. Only the digital code for Zelda. I have ****e internet so that'll be tomorrow before I can play.

Sorry I didn't realise it was a separate USB cable they were looking for.

I noticed that too. It has only one bar full when all other devices have a full strength signal.
Do you have a LAN adapter you could use ? I'm hoping my Wii U LAN adapter will work on mine whenI get home
Can you undock and then update etc beside your access point ?

I have the WiiU LAN adapter that I can try. But it isn't really an issue at the moment as I have no online games.

Got my switch 1st thing this morning. Decided to get Bomberman and a second AC adapter for the bedroom instead of the pro controller. Gamestop Dun Laoghaire was slow as he'll with the accessory pushing but the staff are loudly so I didn't mind really.

The default Joy-cons and grip feel fine to me, very comfortable so I'm happy I'm not missing out.

I was a bit confused with the tiny + on the right controller at first thinking it was too small to be a proper D pad. I am simple sometimes.

Had a quick play of Zelda and it's beautiful. Really looking forward to diving in more later.

Has anyone played That RMX racing game? Tempted by its wipeoutness but no reviews yet that I can see.

So it doesn't come with a separate USB cable to charge it via powerbank? What do I need to buy to get one of these cables?

My switch has the worst WiFi connection imaginable. My phone and all other WiFi devices have full strength/3 bars. Switch has no bars full at all.

Damn, I was hoping they'd fixed this problem. My Wii U is permanently tethered to the Nintendo LAN adapter and a wi-fi Powerline extender. Wii before it wasn't brilliant either though I felt it had a stronger signal than the Wii U. All other devices don't this issue.

Digital foundry reporting fps as low as 20 while docked and no dips while undocked.
I mean 20 FPS is completely unacceptable in 2017 for a console IMO
That seals it then. Il be waiting a few months at the very least. Thank Christ.

First Switch related calamity goes to Fieldog, collected one of the lads from school earlier, left him playing Zelda when I went to the jacks...

When I came back I find out he had put the slidy grip thing off the Joycon in backwards and it was stuck solid, no amount of pushing and pulling would help it out...

Cue my near tears as I guessed I would have to splash out another 50 quid for a new Joycon and slidy thing and with the joy of Google I found this video :

No doubt it will definitely happen to one of you guys, most likely those with small fingers in the house, my Joycon has a few dings and scratches already but it's better than spending another few quid...

The Switch screen size is just too small. I wish they had of went a bit larger.

I had doubts about this too but after playing Zelda on it for a good while, it's actually a suitable size imo. Had very little problems at all with it, the screen is beautiful and while I thought I'd be playing BOTW mostly on the TV, I think it'll be shared with portable as well.

Any chance of being able to grab one in Dublin without a preorder this afternoon? Thought i'd chance it!

I have a reservation for one in Argos in Santry if you are interested.

I find it a perfect size. As I think the Vita was 4.5 inches and this just looks right as any bigger the thing will be huge ha.

But there will be a switch xl down the lines ;)

There is too much bezel on the screen. They could have easily went 8.x inch without increasing the size of the console. That being said its a nice machine for sure I hope it does well and I will get one..

Fast rmx seems cool so far!

Heads up, it's easy to change to another eshop either using another account or simply changing countries on accounts.nintendo.com if you have a zero balance. (This unlinks your NNID so probably should relink it after changing back)
Not much only available elsewhere yet but good to keep it note for future reference. There is a Puyopop demo on the Japanese eshop though if you get bored.

How to access Facebook and Twitter on your Switch, without a browser

It’s not the best way to scroll through Facebook though

It's a very consistent 30 fps but the odd time it drops momentarily to 20 fps. It seems to be a bandwidth issue. It's never a sustained drop though just a momentary one. Nit game breaking but it is noticable. Did expect better since its the xenoblade engine and that runs amazingly well. Apparently there's none when not docked.

Thanks, just needed this (I'd love to blame the kids, but it was me who put it on the wrong way!)
