Of course that's what I meant....

Woah! Chris must have been really p*ssed off there.

Someone really must have mixed up his recycling for him to use the words "utter poppycock".

Just what Newstalk Drive needs...An abandoned pet slot

6 months in they've finally began playing the verse/chorus of a song rather than the intro. The idea, which I like makes sense now!

Newstalk's entire schedule summed up in one sentence by Chris there.

"Two big scandals today, but which is the more shameful, as a country?"

An ungrammatical, English as a second language, sentence at that!

This has to be up there for on of the worst radio shows out there. Claire is so boring, she makes Chris seem interesting! Both their voices are mono toned, hard to listen to. That could be acceptable if the content was good, but neither of them are capable of interviewing a strong character. Boring, and simply a very poor show!

Never thought I'd say it but I actually don't mind the drive show.

Sarah has grown on me but Chris tries way too hard to be SOUND.

    F*ckin world's gone crazy.

He loves name checking him and Sarah too

Yes, they both do it constantly which makes me think they are under instructions to do so. It sounds very LMFM.

Coleman and Williams do it the morning also.

I've never heard Pat, Hook or Moncrieff (the pros) do same

No but Hook name checks his guests about 20 times every interview

The never missed Tara Duggan used to begin every question by naming the guest. Bugged the hell out of me. I know George does it a fair bit but it can be useful at times.

You know I'd actually never noticed that she has not been used as a stand in. I must add that to my list of affirmations in the morning.

Jobbing status seems to have passed to Healy. :(

Is Sarah breast feeding live on air or what is the noise that sounds like a baby?

When listening to any show on NT I can hear the presenters perfectly. But when they interview anyone by phone the interviewee sounds like they're talking through a 100ft long wavin pipe. The audio is absolutely sh1te. Anyone know why this is.

Is Henry McKean travelling across the nation and now overseas for 10 mins of this ****e on Drivetime?

He definitely has the dirt on somebody.

I used to listen to this show all the time when Hook was doing it. I now never listen, no matter how bad Cooper gets, and he does, very very regularly. I never liisten and I know quite a few other. ' angry white men ' who no longer listen either.

Some harsh comments on here Re: Sarah. Personally I think she's pretty good. She isn't afraid to grill interviewees and seems well-informed. Chris is and had always been a bit of a nerd but he's grown on me. I still switch between this and Matt Cooper. The main thing is that I no longer have to endure that insufferable, self-obsessed bore George Hook on the way home!

George Hook is one of the best broadcasters this country has had. He's gotten a bit more extreme and forthright in his dotage but he's still more entertaining and interesting than Chris and Sarah and half the rest of them.

Sarah was good as a pundit in Vincent Browne but she is really annoying in radio: totally blasé.

Chris would probably make a good reporter but he's a bit of a pain in the ass.

Matt Cooper does a good job.

Terrible show. Took the biscuit today when they played the viral video of the Korean BBC report today and described it on the radio. Jesus wept.

Heheheh, he might be the only one.

Way too high pitched for this poster.
