I have one reserved in Jervis that's in stock as my back-up, in case Smyths messes me about like they did with the PS4. If, as I suspect, I don't need it, I can send you the reservation code.

WOW! Thanks a million mate! Sending good vibes your way!

Reserved in argos there, got the text about "we will let you know when its in store" so fingers crossed, I think some smyths still have it so might use them as backup

Heading to Smyth's now on the way to work to pick it up. Will be a killer leaving it in my car all day though.

Gamestop never got in touch (pricks) but I've got an argos reservation down. Get the console from argos, grab the copy of Zelda I pre order, happy out.

In time honoured Nintendo fashion, I wonder how long it'll take for this to be hacked :D

Is everyone getting physical copies of zelda or is anyone buying off eshop? I know the limitations of the internal memory but its easily upgradeable and convenience of not having to carry cartridges around just makes so much sense to me

I just reserved one in Argos at the Omni in Santry, Dublin, if anyone wants it.
There's a scary lack of systems available according to the CheckArgos system... possibly due to idiots like me reserving them!
But I just reserved the one, in case someone here is in need.
It's the grey model rather than the neon one, fyi

Well, to bust the WiiU wide open it took 4 years.

The most robust system was the PS2, requiring soldered modchips and new cases right up to the introduction of FreeMcBoot.
Otherwise most consoles were hacked into oblivion within a few years, the DS line were the most common ones, with the R4 line of flash carts, but then the system was breathtakingly popular so the demand for the hack was immense.
The 3DS is also hacked but I'm not really seeing the same ubiquitous nature of the flashcarts.

Just got an email and barcode from Smyth's!! Is that a good sign? I was able to order a bundle last night (exact time was 00:05:56) ;-) Had tried loads earlier in the night and it wouldn't let me order.

Any word on the carry cases? Smiths have one for 19.99 and one for 12.99, wondering if anyone has experience with either.

I've missed the last 30 pages, I went up to Smyths in Carrickmines last night, I was 4th in the queue at about 11:15, I'm glad I went up early because I'd say there were at least 80 people, if not more, queuing up!

I'm gonna check both out today in there when I go in to pick mine up. For me it all comes down to how well it protects the console itself and how it feels in the hand.

    Cheers,

I'm going to do the same if I can when I pick up my Switch later today. The 12.99 one claims a soft cotton inside and a hard shell but doesn't seem to come with screen protectors like the other.

Personally screen protectors would not bother me that much but is the screen covered in Gorilla Glass does anyone know? Is there a need to be super cautious with it like?

    Thanks,

That messenger bag from Argos looks great. Managed to reserve the only one in the Ashbourne store.

I'm still humming and hawing as to whether or not I'll pull the plug and get it though.

Also, there's a good few Grey consoles left in Ashbourne too. 5 at the time of writing.

Only one Neon was stocked as of this morning.
