The one thing i regret not buying is another AC adapter, i have it plugged into the dock behind the tv, but its a bit awkward to undo it and bring the adpater somewhere else. off to bed now, will be dreaming of hyrule tonight!

Picked up mine in GameStop Galway earlier, very efficient, was at the back of the queue but still on the way home by 00:30. Had a quick look at everything, then packed it up again to head off to Belgium for a weekend away. Will be Monday before I get a go! Oh well, the beer and chocolate will console me!

Hope everyone is happy with their purchase and has a great time playing!

Yeah its a breath of wild poster. There was also a Zelda keyring in the pouch. Also some Mario pins.

They phoned me last weekend to tell me they were opening at 10.30 so people could pay the balance on their preorders and once it hit 12 they'd just hand them out.

When I got there at 11.30 they told me they weren't actually doing that and you had to pay after 12.

This would have been fine, but every transaction took about 10 mins between them pushing insurance & accessories and people buying amiibos and that, which the staff had to go and get.

So it was after 1 when I got out of there. Which would have been alright normally, but my girlfriend, who has work early in the morning, was in the car waiting cos I thought i'd be in the car by 12.05.

All good now, mind you.

I dont blame you, that sounds like a right pain!
The GS I collected from allowed people to pay prior and just collect at midnight. It should be the same across the board like if 1 store can do that why cant they!?

This console is tiny. Sitting in the dock (of the bay) on top of the tv stand and barely reaches the bottom of the tv.

I think I head the most senior guy saying one of the other stores gave the consoles out early, so they were all told they couldn't do it.

But that clearly was not the case.

As Ace Attorney said, another power supply seems like a necessary buy. One at the TV and one for the bedroom/on the go. That and a screen protector will be tomorrow's purchases for me.
Snipperclips is as much fun as it looks, I burned through almost an hour on that until I remembered Link was still waiting in his shrink wrap. I gave Fast RMX a quick run too, no surprises with it

FWIW I asked the guy in Smyth's Fonthill how many they had for sale to people without preorders, he said around 25-30. I'm assuming most people there for the midnight launch had preorders so anyone still thinking about it might be lucky if they head over early enough in the morning.

Right that's enough, I've to be up in 4 hours, gonna regret this.....

Charging on the go, wouldn't a USBC charger of at least the same ampage or higher be fine?

Like a nexus 5x charger, it's 5v and 3amp. The switch will only pull what it has too and there should be no risk?

I might be missing something or have things wrong though

Didn't check the ampage of the switch charger but isn't it higher ampage is fine once the voltage is the same, lower ampage will either charge super slow or just not work?

Listed now on Argos. E330 for each console. Only bundle seems to be E12 off Bomberman. Pro controller - E75.

Reserved 1 of the 2 neon consoles in my local store, pro controller and Zelda.

Now back to sleep for an hour before work!

Was there any hidden charges with gamestop?
I'm expecting to pay 280 for the console(not including my deposit) & Zelda is no doubt 70 there too right?
