Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know where you can get examples of the aptitude tests the HSE use?

  • Registered Users Posts: 629 ✭✭✭Nelly 21

I have to assume because it's going through public jobs it'll be the ones on the pas website. I don't think there was a mention of them on the email they sent out

No they said they were going to be sending us practise materials. I think the HBS are doing this campaign. I didn't apply through public jobs.

But it's just I'm thinking they are giving us very little time when they send the practice material the invitation to do the actual tests will probably be soon after so it's pretty annoying.

I got an email on the 4th of February saying they would be sending practice material.

I hope we hear something this week about when we'll be sitting the tests. It feels very mysterious compared to the Civil Service process!

This is a huge competition so very unlikely to move quickly.

Same here but they got my surname wrong! Did you also get a text? The email said to notify them if no text received. I didn't get one yet.

hopefully its not as long as the PAS CLERICAL OFFICER one...its been going on since last year for me...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,934 ✭✭✭✭fin12

Got a corrected email, I don't understand why they are only leaving the practise material available till the 13th of march even though you have until 29th of march to the actual assessment, why are they doing that? The more days available to practise the better.

  • Registered Users Posts: 406 ✭✭mayo pixiebell

    Got my text finally 😂

I asked myself that question many times while reading the email. What a bunch of clowns.

The PAS clerical one has not been that slow moving for the majority of high scorers. I had progressed past three stages by mid October after having applied in june

So it can go either way if current tcos do not pass more jobs open up its mad! But there are quiet alot of vacancies!! Im in Dublin and places have been so understaffed due to embargos over the last few years!! Good luck everyone x

Hi Just wondering what kind of scores do you all reckon we'll need to get on the online assessment, if the numbers are high I presume a pass rate won't be enough what do you reckon?

If it's like the Pas - the pass rate is 40 iirc but it's the higher you get - you'll get called up for further progress

I'm a student nurse at the minute and I'm thinking of changing roles, do you think this will work against me should I get to interview stage? As in that I may drop out?

I don't think applications opened to June. It's a 2 year panel so it will be open to end of summer '18. Everyone applied at the same time so we are all waiting not just you.

nope they never disclose it.....They might say how many applied - clerical officer one had around 30000 applying for it at the first stage as they said it in a independent article

Same scale as CO campaign, approx €21k unless you've previous experience in public sector afaik.

  • Registered Users Posts: 414 ✭✭L390

When you say previous experience does that mean in clerical roles as I'm 13 years in public service but as clerical
