What was handled badly at the start?

Re: New Day. Before going to the Raw tapping last week I would have agreed that they have run their course and the bubble has popped. However, the only ones who got a bigger pop that night were Bailey and Kevin Owens/Jericho. They are still massively over with the US crowds and shift a ton of merch. The train might have ran off the rails for members of the IWC, but the live crowds still love these 3.

According to Bruce Hart when Kidd told them something was wrong backstage he was told to have his shower, they weren't calling an ambulance and he was being a hypochondriac. So Kidd and Natalya had to drive to a hospital, and they got lost while looking for one. Then they took him out of Total Divas cos they didn't want to draw attention to his injury.

Bruce Hart tends to be full of ****, but if that is even partly true, that's such an abdication of duty.

Wrestler from Smoky Mountain named Bruiser Bedlam died. Just heard about him tonight, one of the more wild wiki articles of a wresyler you'll read - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ion_Croitoru

Brings to mind memories of his heartwrenching tribute to Balls Mahoney

Who was it (Ivan Koloff maybe?) that he went to trouble of saying that he never met them personally so didn't have any personal thoughts to share? Why bother saying anything?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,484 ✭✭✭Chain Smoker

Fairly sure I said the same when he posted the Balls one, but it strikes me as a guy who's not great with emotions or social stuff, probably somewhere on the spectrum, trying to express himself as honestly as possible.

The balls one was kind of sweet to me in how it's possible to feel warmth towards an overly affectionate person even if you yourself are not very comfortable about it. This one's a good deal more vague but it's not too hard to see how guys who got along well with him may feel weird about his death.

Tom Philips has been caught sexting when he is engaged to someone else.....!!! How stupid is he to do this under his own name.

This isn't PG so beware! The link to the screenshot is here

I doubt we'll get a Trip Bradshaw named jobber out of this one or Kevin Owens jokes.
His painfully awkward segue role on Smackdown annoys me anyway.

    Drew Galloway has left TNA

PWInsider is also reporting that the Hardyz could be following...

EDIT: Worth noting, the story comes shortly after Matt announced he was closing his personal online merch store too...

Drew to head back to WWE maybe NXT and become top guy there ???

Always thought he should of been bigger in WWE

Also taking this from Reddit; Meltzer's take on the Hardyz
Said on today's WOR. Said with Jeff Jarrett coming in some things are getting shuffled around and Hardy's likely wouldn't be as in control as they are now.

Hardy's are refusing to guarantee dates after a certain period which suggests WWE.

Said WWE wants them but doesn't know if they'll be allowed to do the gimmick.

He said if they're not at Thursdays tapings they're almost certainly going to WWE.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,585 ✭✭✭Jerichoholic

The state of WWE if they can't do that gimmick. Broken Matt/AJ fued would be the greatest TV in years.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,952 ✭✭✭Monokne

Why? AJ seems like a terrible fit for that idea. He's the best guy they have and is best served in main events for the world title and anchoring house shows in long matches. Why would you put him in the middle of the card doing comedy stuff?

Would think they'd be much better suited to the Raw tag team division. Lots of comedy teams in there they can work with.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,689 ✭✭✭sky88

you would think a heel new day could be great foils for the hardys if they come in with the broken gimmicks

i dont see AJ as being a good fit with them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,585 ✭✭✭Jerichoholic

I just see AJ being disgusted by him, think it would be fun. They'd be forgotten in two weeks if they went to the RAW black hole of a tag division. Smackdown needs him more.

AJ's been doing comedy with Ellsworth, what's the difference?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,952 ✭✭✭Monokne

That was also a bad idea, but at least it was a sidebar and not his actual program. I wouldn't worry about it anyway, Vince never saw much in Matt so I can't see him wasting AJ on that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,952 ✭✭✭Monokne

And yes, New Day seem like the perfect foils. Enzo and Cass too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Getting in a few house show matches to get the ring rust out of the way before the WM?

The Hardys are worth more than that.
