I have loved the name Elsa since long before the film came along. Unfortunately I could never actually use the name now :(

I probably should have added (but I doubt it) to my post, thought the wink signaled that!

I knew a girl called Penny years ago, who I always assumed was really Penelope. Nope, Penny was on her birth cert from the 1970s, so it's not necessarily a new thing.

Does it not seem weird, when you think about it, that if you want to call someone Freddie, you'd put a different name on the birth cert?

I have a fairly distant relative called Daisy, she named her daughter Panda.

There's gotta be some kind of internalised rage going on there.
    Ultan or Odhrán.
I think Odhrán is a lovely name.

I came across a guy called Breasal too, recently. He was very obliging that way.

Same as Ollie or Bobby I suppose these days. My own cousin named his kid Jimmy. That's the child's actual name like. He's in prison now.

    The dad, not the child.

    Eden.

Don't know if it's a boy or a girl. But I guess that is sort of the point of these ****-name mongers.
