I did said if he can jump a fence. To my eye he has a superb engine and he looks every stamp of a chaser and the trip won't be a problem.

Well. That was... Interesting. In fairness he won with a similar ride last time out same track. Didn't see it happening again with Anibale in the field, shows what I know. How could they all be not only so far back but seemingly working so hard while AB barely breaks a sweat?

Strange considering it was a grade 1 with a lot of money at stake. Ruby on Haymount has to take some blame, he dictated the group behind and they trusted in Ruby and followed his lead. They thought Ruby will close gap and we will follow.
No one wanted to go pass Haymount , they trusted in what Ruby was doing. The group didn't take on Haymount until 3 out, they had no choice, was too late. Seems Ruby was happy to canter around.

I see Poli Roi was bought for £300k after winning a point to point race, would that be towards the upper end of what would change hands for a horse or would some of them fetch more? I mean unraced or very lightly raced horses now rather than proven animals.

Ruby rode hay mount to finish in its best position lads, if he went after the winner he would of ended up pulling up.
I don't like anibale fly, he is so unreliable.
Best horse won today but the winner wouldn't do that to prominent thorough stayers like our duke.
