Good enough card in Navan today.
Looking forward to seeing Sutton place, Chancing a few pounds on Admiral Brian.
Hopefully Nicoles Milan wins, Eamon Corbett in good form, looks a good jockey

Gonna take a chance on Impact Factor in the bumper in Navan.. Got word for it on debut so I'll be with it again today

    Melon backers must be disappointed.

I have no feelings about Melon either way but i dont think that was Broken Souls true running. He seemed to down tools once he got impeded and passed before the 3rd last. Had no interest after that.

Seem's to fierce overreaction to Broken Souls defeat, Melon bet him by half the track on the bridle we all know it was the worse maiden ever, no interest in backing Melon in march but it wouldnt put me off If I was a backer.

    Dream bERRY 13-2 3.00

I like this for the win here. An easier field than its last race in a grade 2.
    At 13-2 it's a safe EW hopefully

    13-2

Clever ride by Cooper. Tackled Geraghty 3 out & Ballyoisin freaked out

Mad Brian worth an ew punt in the Martinstown opportunity race at a big price

Have him backed myself, win only though, think he's nicely handicapped and Gillian seems to like local winners having popped up with a few at Navan at nice prices, i'm worried about not knowing the rider though so small win only.

    Broken Soul 4/11 lost
    Aintree My Dream 4/11 fell
    Ballyoisin 4/5 fell

Bookies laughing, accas dead all over the place. Hopefully Sutton Place will stay up, should win if he does. Geraghty very positive on him in his latest blog post.

Sutton place is some machine, can see him being a top chaser RSA maybe next year.

    Interesting run from Renetti there

    Interesting run from Renetti there

Having backed the horse, I would have somewhat stronger worded views

    Interesting run from Renetti there

I backed him and looked to me like he didn't want to get to the front.
Could go well in a Cheltenham handicap

Anyone who watches racing knows Renneti is an absolute dog of a horse.

His mark looks too high, he's clearly a very talented animal but has his own ideas about the game, never a horse to trust.

On Sutton Place I think I'd be skipping Cheltenham this year and have another run in Ireland before putting him away for a chasing career next season. Looks the real deal.

I expected it this year, mentioned it in one of the threads earlier in the year, must have had a few issues but he looks like fences will be the making of him and that's some statement considering the hurdler he is.

100,00%. This is a bad grade 2 next when Road to Respect is about 7/1. Haymount beaten a distance last time too 8/1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Shemale

If Sutton Place can jump a fence I can't see anything beating him in the RSA next year.

He is entered in the County and Coral for this year, both 8/1 NRNB, probably back him in both just in case he goes as he would stroll either of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Shemale

Renetti is a pig but Ruby did some one handed boxing and them moved him in behind the front two, worth keeping an eye on him but there is plenty of risk involved in punting him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

He looks a really nice horse but Jesus his first run beyond two miles and he's a cert for the RSA next year. Long way to go between now and then

    Well done on mad Brian!

Gonna take a stab on Anibale to get the double for Barry, he was pretty positive on it as well though not as much as Sutton. Can't see a better stayed in the field

Final fence at Navan 3-1 Edwulf.

I did said if he can jump a fence. To my eye he has a superb engine and he looks every stamp of a chaser and the trip won't be a problem.

    Great race there.

What price any bans handed out there? if it was young riders they'd be dragged in and banned, rancid jockeys race.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 460 ✭✭gillamandango

Irish jockeys are thick as planks sometimes, good ride by Loughern
BG should be banned there, never had AF in the race and never tried a tap...Rancid

Had the winner there but for anybody who thinks Irish racing isnt a joke watch that race. Farcical stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,941 ✭✭✭krustydoyle

Great ride by Roger.. The rest should be called in

Acapella canters for whole race. No one even tried to close gap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Shemale

Mick Fitz completely wrote off the winner before the race as bad jumper

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,269 ✭✭✭Gamebred

File that race under ''jockeys race'' in the racing dictionary, 100/1 ruby or barry get a ban for it.

He walked him into the last and they were still no closer after it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 423 ✭✭Clampdown

Well. That was... Interesting. In fairness he won with a similar ride last time out same track. Didn't see it happening again with Anibale in the field, shows what I know. How could they all be not only so far back but seemingly working so hard while AB barely breaks a sweat?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,722 ✭✭✭posturingpat

    Rotten stuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,895 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Strange considering it was a grade 1 with a lot of money at stake. Ruby on Haymount has to take some blame, he dictated the group behind and they trusted in Ruby and followed his lead. They thought Ruby will close gap and we will follow.
No one wanted to go pass Haymount , they trusted in what Ruby was doing. The group didn't take on Haymount until 3 out, they had no choice, was too late. Seems Ruby was happy to canter around.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Shemale

Mr Caffrey from 40/1 to 16/1 in next at Ffos Las, Flints at a Welsh course, recent form is PP, going to have a small bet

What are you on about you'd swear ruby was their father and he let down the family after an affair.

    Inspector Caldy 28-1 5.10

Only 2 to place. I like this to be the one who fights for victory.

    28-1 LB

Was there no inquiry into the riding of the 7 midgets letting Loughran win?
